Neither of them were in sight. Nothing was any different. The only thing that showed that someone was there, was a package on Al's bed. There was a small note on it.

Thanks so much for all that you've done for us. We can't tell you how much we appreciate it. Sorry we left without saying good-bye, but it was for the best. If we stayed in town any longer, we'd disrupt your way of life. Not just yours, but everyone elses as well. Here's a little gift for you.
