Call Me Pirate
James Norrington on why and how he's a changed. Basically, Norrington on himself.

I won. Call me what you like. Call me pirate. Perhaps I am. But I won. I beat Captain Jack Sparrow. I bested him at his own game, and he bested me at mine. Hm. Perhaps we should trade places.
But I couldn't have done it without her. That silly girl. She managed to keep him distracted. For so long I might have given my very life for her happiness. Well, perhaps not my life. But my honor, my happiness. Then she looked down on me. She patronized me.
"James Norrington, what has the world done to you?" As though she would have been better off. But I bested her, her betrothed and her Captain. Revenge? Redemption. I am free- I am a man again. I have what I want, whenever I want. I don't have to work for idiots as those mindless sailors do. They call themselves men, but all they are swine. They think they love the sea, but they are tied to it. They can't get away. It has them in a deathlock, as it had me. But now I am free.
I am a man. I live in a manor. I have my servants. I live for myself, as no one else can be trusted. If I have learned one thing from those bloody pirates, it's that the only one I can trust is myself.
But I won.
I beat them all.
I'm the best pirate I have ever seen.
I got the heart and I have my life back. I am normal again. Perhaps I have changed a little. I know where my priorities are now. They lie with my life. No woman is worth that. Ever.
So I won. And now I can do whatever I want. So, bring me a ship. I am not tied to the sea. But I am in love with it just the same. So, bring me a ship. And bring me a crew. Then bring me that horizon.
