Title: LOST

CH. 1

"Please, don't do this to me," she pleaded as she looked at the two people who stood right in front of her, She wasn't able to make out their appearances in the dark. She could hear the soft cries of newborn babies somewhere in the background, but they were no where in her sight. She pleaded and cried as the two dark figures walked away from her, she ran trying to reach them but it seemed impossible. They looked as if they were so near, but with each steep she took it felt as if the distance would lengthen to miles.

"Please," she cried in a whisper as she got on her knees and sobbed, "Please come back."

"No!" the raven-haired woman, who looked to be about twenty-nine-years-old, screamed as she sat up on her bed, she turned on the light in her nightstand and looked around her room. Her small hand touched her forehead then moved to cover her heart as she tried to calm down her breathing and the thoughts that ran wild around her head. She got out of bed and walked into the bathroom; she turned on the faucet and splashed some water on her face. Devastated amethyst eyes stared back at her as she stood in front of the mirror. She sighed and looked away and pulled her shoulder length raven hair into a high ponytail, her fingers were used as a comb.

She walked back into her bedroom and sat on her comfortable bed, she glanced at the alarm clock that rested on her nightstand, the red numbers read 4:30 a.m. she sighed and looked around the room to find something to get her mind off the vivid dream. She could still hear the soft cries of the small babies and covered her ears to shut the sound off, tried to make it go away. She shut her eyes as to not let the tears escape.

"Come on Tomoyo, you've got to think of something else," she whispered to herself, a frown on her delicate face.

"I'll read something, reading keeps my mind off things so where is that book," she said as she looked for a book on the top of small bookshelf, her eyes scanned the names before she pulled one out of its place, "this will do."

"Okay this isn't working," she said with a frustrated sight a few minutes into the reading. She put the book down on her lap, her eyes again found their way to the alarm clock that now read five a.m. her eyes wondered around the room once more, and at a loss she picked up the remote control and turned on the TV.

"What's the point of having cable when they are not going to show anything good on," she thought as she threw the remote down on the bed.

"Might as well go get something to eat," she got out of bed and walked to the small kitchen of her apartment. She opened a cupboard and grabbed a bowl and a box of Cheerios that rested on the counter; she took the milk from the fridge and sat down on the small table eating her breakfast. After she was done with her breakfast she went to take a shower and get ready for work.

"Hey Tomoyo, are you okay? You looked liked you haven't slept at all," a 28-year-old woman with honey haired and sparkling emerald eyes asked as she looked at her friend.

"Really? Didn't notice," Tomoyo said sarcastically as she looked at the papers she had to organize.

"Tomoyo are you okay?" Her friend asked again, curiously.

"Well…um…no it's nothing Sakura," Tomoyo answered after a few seconds, her friend gave her an odd look before she returned to her work.

"I can't tell her yet I have to wait for the right time," Tomoyo thought as she looked up at the papers, and then sighed softly.
