SPOILERS: ANYTHING ATER TERMINUS (story2) set after events in story 3, in which if you've read spoilers we know something affects their relationship.
Summary: Set in the future about 1 year after series 10. Harry helps Nikki out at a family wedding, but will it make them admit their feelings?
Author's notes: Nikki and Harry's friendship is back on track, they are closer then they have ever been infact they are sharing a flat, since Nikki got thrown out of hers a few months back.
CHAPTER 1: A Friend in Need
THURSDAY 10PM:
Harry was sitting in the living room drinking a coffee and watching TV on the sofa while eating some toast when Nikki's bedroom door was flung open and Nikki walked out of her room, what was plain to Harry was that she was not happy.
"But….uhhhh Mom… fine… see you in a few days… no… NO MOTHER, Iam not subjecting anyone to that, iam coming alone and you will just have to deal with that" Nikki said before putting the phone down.
As he sat there watching Nikki put her head into her hands and massage her temples Harry got up off the sofa and walked over to her, he wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her to him "Nik you've got to stop letting her get to you" Harry whispered into her ear.
Nikki looked up at Harry "I know" she said
"So what was all that about?" Harry asked leading Nikki over to the sofa
"Its one of my cousins wedding this weekend, Mom keeps moaning how if I spend all my time in a morgue ill never give her grandchildren" Nikki groaned.
"Would it get her off your back if you took someone?" Harry asked
"Yeah, I suppose…why?"
"Well looks like you got yourself a date Dr Alexander" Harry said grinning down at Nikki.
"Harry you don't have to do this… I mean we will get bombarded with questions…"
"Well then we will have to make it look as real as possible" Harry said before he leaned in and kissed Nikki passionately.
"Whoa…what was that for?" Nikki said after they'd stopped kissing.
"Well we needed to get it out of the way, and I wanted to make sure we would be able to make it…convincing to everyone" Harry said as he moved a piece of Nikki's hair behind her ear.
"So where is it? And when do we have to leave?" Harry asked.
"Ok, well it's in Hertfordshire, at a hotel in St.Albans, and we need to leave tomorrow" Nikki said.
"Ok, do we need to book a room?"
"No I already booked a double room" Nikki said.
"Ok…are you sure you'll be okay with sharing?" Harry asked
"Yeah, if we don't it will raise suspicions" Nikki said.
"Ok, well its getting pretty late, we'd better get some sleep, id say we had better leave by lunch tomorrow, if we don't ant to hit traffic!" Harry said
"Ok, ill see you in the morning…Harry!" Nikki said walking towards her room
"Yeah?"
"Thanks for doing this!" Nikki said
"Don't worry about it nik, night"
"Night" Nikki said as she went into her room and closed the door.
