Ace is a leader of a gang in the park,
Lifts weights at the gym,
But there's loose flabby flesh 'round
His middle, straining against his belt,
He's a youngen with a mean baby face.
There's a popping noise! And
Right away Ace screams.
He can't see out of his
left eye, nothing but pain
pain throbbing and pounding.
In the ambulance he's held in place,
First aid to stop the bleeding
But Ace can't control himself,
He's crazy with fear, his heart pounding
Like a drum tattoo right in his chest.
Jaws so tight he could grind his teeth away.
Don't let me die, Ace wants to beg,
But too ashamed, Death is creeping
Up his belt, he feels it.
His bare chest exposed, how silly
His tattoos must look.
And he dies- it's that easy
Like slipping into water.
A part of him dies, letting
The water take you – it's that easy
Half bandaged, he's back in the park
Out of pride, but it doesn't feel good.
He isn't the same person.
He hides how he feels.
What do you know?
-you don't know shit.
