Just Will Is Needed
To love you must be willing to let go, to let go you must be willing to love.

He had promised her. Promised her to be able to bring a smile back to her face, and he had done that. They had traveled long and far, searching for what she had desired all along, and he had obliged willingly. Afterall, he still loved her and probably always would. He cared for her happiness more than anything, and wanted her to have even though it wasn't with him.
------
Will stared attentively at Jack as they were returning to the ship, where Elizabeth and the crew were waiting impatiently. He couldn't help but look him up and down, and wonder why Elizabeth had suddenly fallen for someone like him. His look of emptiness directed towards Jack made the Captain feel uneasy, and worst; guilty of what he and Elizabeth had done before his departure into the depths.
"Will-" he began to state, but was quickly cut-off by Will himself.
"I don't need to hear whatever reasons you have for what happened," breathing deeply, he continued, "I just want to know that you are going to make her happy, are you sure that you want her by your side? Do you need her like I do?"
------
Jack noticed the amount of hurt and fear in Will's eyes as he waited patiently for an answer. Fear, was the main thing he felt...he feared that the answer Jack would give would be the right one, and the one that indeed, separated him from Elizabeth forever.
He pursed his lips together before questioning Will. "Well, mate...what do you want to hear? That your bonnielass and I care for one another? I don't know what to tell you Will, it just happened, and I think that for your sake, that you would have accepted it by now."
Will felt a rage of anger go through his veins. Accepted it by now? That his true love no longer wanted him, was he supposed to be happy about is?
He stared attentively towards Jack now, and stated rather harshly, "Why can't you just answer the question, do you love her or not?"
Jack sighed deeply, and leaning close towards Will's face as he had always approached an enemy, replied, "Mate, it's simple, you don't deserve to hear the answer, if I am to ever express any love for Elizabeth, she will be the only one to hear, because she's the only one that needs too, savvy?"
Will stepped back from Jack, thinking of what to respond with, but he couldn't find the words. He didn't know what to think at all. Jack was just as much as a mystery to him as he was to Elizabeth.
------
As they reached the ship, he turned towards Jack to see if he was going to get on.
He didn't.
Will looked over at Jack and stated, "Jack, we need-" but interrupted by Jack's voice as he stared out towards the deep blue sea.
"Will, you want some of sort of proof that I care for Elizabeth, and all I have to say is this, pay attention because I'll only repeat it once..." he was interrupted by Will's voice once again, who said, "You don't deserve her."
Jack nodded slightly and smiling winsomely, finished what he was trying to say all along.
"I know that; but I need her, and I don't need anything."
And with that, Will knew that no matter how much it hurt him to do it, he knew that he could part from Elizabeth, let her go...to be with someone that loved her and needed her just as much as he did, perhaps even more.
