Why did you have to leave me Draco? My dragon, I loved you why did you feel the need to go?
Harry stood on the hill by the sea looking out at the waves crashing over the rocks as if trying to get to him like his need to get to Draco.
Why, Draco, why? I thought I gave you all the love you needed. But you still felt the need to see her. Why did you go? You knew he would kill you if he ever saw you again, but still you went.
Harry wiped away a tear that had gotten loose.
It was hard watching you day after day knowing that you longed to see your family one last time. I told myself that keeping you from them was for your own good but I was wrong. It made things worse. I allowed things to get that way. I allowed Lucius to get to you, to kill you.
Harry's knees went week and he fell forward sobbing.
He killed you my dragon, my love and I will never forgive myself for not arriving sooner.
Flashback
Harry put the key in the lock and opened the door. The hallway was dark. Harry closed the door and put his files on the table in the kitchen. Harry looked in the lounge. Draco wasn't there. He looked in the dinning room, the library and the office but Draco still wasn't there. Harry walked in to their empty bedroom to find a white note in the middle of their green silk bed sheet.
Dearest Harry,
I know you have tried for so long to convince me not to go to see my mother because of my father but I just cant stand it any longer, I need to see her Harry. She's on her deathbed for Merlin's sake! Could not live with myself if I did not see her before she… the writing got a bit messy here as if written with a shaky hand. She leaves me forever. Harry we have lost a lot of people through the war and we have both regretted not being able to say good bye or fix old rivalries (aka Weasley and Granger.) and I will not let my self loose the only family that still loves me with out a good bye. Harry you of all people should understand this.

Harry stared at the letter for a moment while the words sunk in. slowly a well of panic rose in his chest. Draco had gone to Malfoy Manor? With Lucius Malfoy in the building? Merlin! He better hurry and get him before something awful happened.
Harry appreciated into the malfoy manor right as Lucius shot avada kedavra at Draco who was sprawled on the floor naked, bruised and bleeding.
"NOOOOO!" screamed Harry.
End flashback
Harry put his head in his hands and screwed up his eyes willing the pain to go away.
It's my fault, Draco. I pushed you too hard and now I can never push you again. If only I have another chance I would have arranged something for you but not now because your gone, and you're not coming back.
Harry gripped a clump of his hair and screamed. Screamed for the loss of his lover, screamed for all the time he had the chance to be with him and wasn't, screamed for Draco and Draco alone because now he would never be with him again.
Harry stood back up and whipped the tears from his face and picked up the little wooden box that lay on the grass in front of him.
"Good bye my sweet sweet dragon. You were my first love and you shall be my last." Harry spoke in a wavering voice that cracked at the end.
Harry opened the box and let Dracos ashes sail across the wind towards the open sea.
Harry watched them float to the water and let one last tear fall for his dragon.
