Saying Good-by
Gabrielle knelt beside a large wooden box, inside the late Joxer who had died whilst trying to save her, there she sat with tears streaming down her face. Thinking about all the times she had been mean to him or hurt him for no reason. Making her cry that much harder. Then she lifted her fist and hit the wooden box with all her might and yelled " By the gods why. WHY!"
Then she began " Joxer I know you can hear me. I just wanted to say I'm sorry for all the times I treated you like you were nothing. I realize now how you must have felt all the times you thought you had lost me. The truth is, now that your gone I realize how much I really cared for you. Remember when your said you loved me and I laughed in your face. Well that was because I was afraid of tell you my true feelings. I was afraid of your reaction and what Xena and everyone would thank. But now I want you to know the feeling was mutual and only after you 're gone did realize them. And for that I'm truly sorry. I love you Joxer."
"He would have liked that." said Xena who was standing behind Gabrielle. "Come on the funeral fire is ready. Xena and Gabrielle slowly took the box containing Joxer and put it on the pile of burning sticks. And Xena began singing the traditional funeral song. Teary eyed Gabrielle reached out to me Xena in a warm embrace to ensure everything would be alright. As Gabrielle embraced one friend in a warm hug she sadly said her good-bys to another.
