WAM: My new story!

Kai: How many new stories are there going to be?

WAM: shrugs But, this one is an inspired story.

Kai: All of your stories are inspired.

WAM: Any who! My friend is still convinced I have multiple personality disorder.

Kai: I wonder why?

WAM: Do the darn disclaimer!

Kai: WAM does not own Beyblade, no matter how much she wishes it.

WAM: Now on with the fic!

Warnings: OOCness, shounen-AI, language, a perverted old man. Seriously, that so needs to be a warning ¦and that's it for now:

Freedom Soaring: Chapter 1

I sighed as I wandered the halls. My father, the king of the western kingdom, was demanding me to marry. It made no sense! Really, I enjoyed my freedom. Why would I want some woman to tie me down? But, there was someone I wanted. Not necessarily a woman, but he looked feminine enough to pass as one if need be.

Ah! There he is now, scrubbing the floors.

I walked quietly and slowly so he would not hear my approach. He sighed and sat up wiping the sweat off of his forehead.

"Hello, Takao." I said smiling in amusement. He quickly stood up and bowed.

"P-Prince Brooklyn! What are you doing here?" He really was very cute, innocent above all.

"Just walking around." I replied shortly.

"Um, I'll be going now." Takao quickly grabbed his bucket and darted to where he had to clean next.

I sighed before heading toward the main hall. I opened the door to see Boris, my father's head advisor.

Oh how I loathe that man! For starters, the man was a lecherous bastard. I know for a fact that he is after my father's throne. Heck even my father knows it. But, he is clever and a great strategist. No wonder my father keeps him on board. My eyes narrowed when I saw his eyes examining my body.

The moment I become king, is the moment he's out of here.

Sitting nice and snug in his throne is my father and not Boris.

"Brooklyn." Oh Gods here it comes.

Under my breath I sighed, making sure my usual cheerful mask was in place. "Yes, Father?"

"Your eighteenth birthday is coming up, and I would like for you to take a bride."

I sighed again. I thought I already explained this to him. The man was so stubborn. I know it's needed for a king to be both stubborn, yet flexible. My father was definitely lacking in the flexibility category.

"Father," I sighed, here we go again. "I do not want to marry yet. There is something else I wish for my eighteenth birthday." A light smile graced my lips.. I'm going turn this towards working for me.

"What is it that you wish for, Brooklyn?" My father asked confusion written all over his face.

It was rare for me to ask for something. I generally liked being outside in the garden, observing Takao, watching birds…I smirked.

"I wish for a personal servant." If anything the smirk on my face grew wider at the surprised look on my father's face. He coughed before regaining his regal composure.

"Do you have someone in mind?" My father actually seemed interested. That was definitely a new one. Usually, whenever it comes to me, my father tends to rather not want to know.

I smirked, "Takao." I nearly laughed out loud when my father almost fell out of his seat. Boris's face was even more amusing. 'Ha, take that you old pervert!' I really don't like him.

My father sighed heavily, "Fine, starting tomorrow, Takao will be your personal servant. You are dismissed. I hope this is what you really want, Brooklyn."

As I turned to leave, the smirk on my face could not be any wider. 'Oh, Father, you don't know just how personal a servant Takao is going to be.'
