"Did you get us lost, Hatsuharu?" Yuki Sohma asked. The leather-clad youth gave him a shifty, sideways look. Yuki stared intently into the grey eyes, expecting an answer.
"No…" Haru replied slowly. "I'm not lost. I think that this way is a short cut."
"A short cut to what?" Yuki inquired with a bite of impatience.
"I dunno," Haru stated. "I thought you were the one picking out where we were going to eat lunch."
"How about this restaurant?" Yuki suggested. He pointed to a nearby hamburger joint. "I've heard good things about the burgers here."
"No, my love. I don't eat burgers," Haru replied seriously. "That would be considered cannibalism."
Yuki rolled his eyes."We're lost," he stated flatly.
"Well, I don't see you helping us out," Haru said defensively. "Here I ask you out and all you can do is complain?"
"If you are the one who suggested lunch then you should have thought of a place to eat ahead of time!" Yuki gnashed. But he was smiling. He knew Haru better than that. They wandered around the side streets, looking for a place to eat. Finally, they settled on a salad bar. Yuki loved to eat vegetables, and Haru was feeling anti-meat at the moment.
"See, I told you we weren't lost," Haru said as they left the establishment. "I found us lunch."
"Now…" Yuki mused, "how do we get home?"
