Note: This is my first attempt to write fanfic. I have never written anything other than school stuffs, so I'm a little nervous. There might be a lot of mistakes because I didn't do a lot of editing because I'm afraid if I did, I might not be happy with it, and might never post it. There, I said it. Please read and tell me what you think.

World Cup Romance

"Please, Shiho. Go with me, please," the dark haired boy pleaded while holding the strawberry blonde haired girl's hand like it is his lifeline.

" I don't know what all these commotions are about. Honestly, it's just a soccer game, Shinichi," Shiho answered him in a cool voice that betrayed none of her emotions. But, she was laughing inside since there weren't many opportunity to see Shinichi acting like this. It's just so out of his usual characters. "And why do you want to bring me anyway?" she asked.

Shinichi sighed exaggeratedly. "First of all, it's football, not soccer. Heiji gave me two tickets to the Tunisia vs. Japan match to near front row seats. Do you know how hard it is to get these? So I want to share this once of a lifetime even with you, my girlfriend." Shinichi finished, grinning from ear to ear.

"Sharing this once of a lifetime with me, your girlfriend? I find that hard to believe," Shiho responded without missing a beat. "Knowing you, the moment that match starts, your eyes will be glue to it. You won't even notice that I'm there."

"Please, if you go with me, I promise I will make it up to you afterward," he said while looking at her with those big, said, soulful eyes of his.

Shinichi looked like he was ready to get down to his knees and beg her so Shiho decided to give him a break. "Oh, alright. What's in it for me though?"

Upon hearing this, Shinichi engulfed Shiho in a big hug and twirled her around. "Thank you, thank you." He cried out in happiness.

" I want to know what I'm getting first."

"A walk in the park?" asked Shinichi hopefully.

"I can do that by myself at my own town."

"I'll make you dinner."

Shiho, in a fearful tone, "I think not, you will burn down the house."

He scratched his head, choosing his options. "How about dinner on the rooftop of our favorite restaurant complete with stars, candlelight and a dress to go with it?"

"But, what dress are we talking about here?" she questioned.

"Oh I don't know, the dark blue silk dress at Kojima Boutique, maybe."

"How did you know?"

He smiled broadly. "My dear, observing is what I do, for I am a detective after all." Shinichi can see a small smile forming at her lips and that made him happy because he knew he was the one that caused it. He can't help but swooped down and placed a chaste kiss on her lips and whispered softly, "I love you, Shiho."

Shiho blushed at his declaration. Even though he had said it many times before, it still touched her deeply. "I love you, too."

And she bought his head down for a more passionate kiss.

The End.
