Lucy doesn't think much of flowers. They are strange, crumpled things.
They are also noisy. She tries not to listen.
Teiji takes a picture. The lilies are safe in the flower girl's hair.
White, wadded bits of paper, like something left in a pocket. They hurt her eyes, and she looks away, but when Lucy looks away she always sees Teiji.
She supposes that she can listen to the flowers. They might have something to say to her; though they are roses, not lilies.
Lucy remembers Sachi, and wonders if she ever pretended she was a bride.

'zaa', Japanese for 'downpour', 'fleur', French for 'flower'; Lucy's languages.
My (bad) attempt at writing in Susanna Jones' lovely, blank style, which somehow got muddled in my own, and further muddled in the drabble form. Apologies.
CC, anyone?
