Kakuri-chan's back with a random oneshot about Kureno and Uo...

Disclaimer: I've only seen a fruit basket on TV.

Uo waved to her lover as he came in the doors of the shop she was working in over the holidays. It had been a while since they had seen each other; what with Akito's secret being let out and Tohru falling from a cliff. Kureno sighed as Uo ran to him and squeezed him roughly around the waist. This was one of the times he was glad he wasn't cursed anymore.

"Hello... Uo..." He mumbled softly, patting her hair. She looked up at him.

"Hi," Uo smiled. "I'm glad you came. I have something planned for us,"

Kureno raised an eyebrow; this was the first he had heard of something planned. Uo threw off her apron and dragged Kureno out the sliding doors and into the busy street. They bustled across the road and into a park near by. Uo was still dragging Kureno by the hand. Her hand was so warm around his. He smiled deeply, thinking of the warmth. He didn't even realise she had let go.

"Kureno, we're here!" She yelled out before running ahead and across the grass. Kureno watched her, his eyes closed slightly. She really was a pretty girl. Following her, he came to a stream.

"See Kureno?" Uo asked. "It's where I used to play as a young girl. I used to swim in it all the time! Well, splash in it at least,"

'She sounds so happy,' Kureno mused as he took a step closer the the waters edge. On inspection, the water didn't seem any higher than his knees. He tried to picture a young Uo playing in the water like she said. He just... couldn't.

"What are you planning on doing?" He asked her, knowing full well what it was.

"We're going for a swim!"

Kureno looked down at his clothes. He should have known not to wear something fancy, as Uo was one to get dirty (or wet) and not much care. He looked at her sadly.

"You go," He sighed. "I'll watch"

Uo wasn't one to take 'no' or anything like it as an answer. She shook her head, casually blowing her golden locks around. He grabbed him once more and tugged lightly.

"C'mon!" She complained, tugging like an innocent child. "What are you, chicken?"

'If only she knew,' Kureno thought to himself as he trudged into the murky stream. 'If only she knew'.
