You'll Be In My Heart

"Waaah!" Sara cried from the nursery. Roger mumbled something in his sleep and got up to attend to her.
"Hey baby. What's the matter, huh?" Roger asked, looking down at the four-week-old infant. Picking her up, he walked her around the loft, but she continued to cry.
"Shh, shh. It's okay. Daddy's here." Roger soothed, walking to the kitchen and got Sara's formula from the refrigerator, warmed it up in the beaten-up microwave and fed it to Sara. She spat it out and continued to cry. She wasn't wet, so Roger didn't have to change her - that was Mark's job. Sighing, Roger walked to the couch and put Sara in her carrier. He picked up his guitar from beside the couch and began to sing.
"Come stop your crying
It will be all right
Just take my hand
Hold it tight
I will protect you from all around you
I will be here
Don't you cry." that seemed to calm her down, so he continued to sing.
"For one so small, you seem so strong
My arms will hold you
Keep you safe and warm
This bond between us
Can't be broken
I will be here
Don't you cry
'Cause you'll be in my heart
Yes, you'll be in my heart
From this day on
Now and forever more
You'll be in my heart
No matter what they say
You'll be in my heart, always
Don't listen to them
'Cause what do they know
We need each other, to have, to hold
They'll see in time
I know
We'll show them together
'Cause you'll be in my heart
Yes, you'll be in my heart
From this day on
Now and forever more
You'll be in my heart
No matter what they say
You'll be in my heart
Always, always." Roger set his guitar down so that he could pick Sara up.
"Always." he whispered in her ear. He held her in his arms for a while just to make sure that she was fully asleep. Patting her stomach, he stood up and walked back to the nursery. Carefully, he placed her in her crib and went back to his and Mark's room, anxiously awaiting a good night's sleep.
