A/N: I don't usually write stories or poems, but I just made this free verse when I foud out Mako died. Don't worry, Iroh is not dead, but his Voice Actor recently died from cancer. So here is my short poem.
Uncle...
You said you wouldn't leave me alone.
Now you've left in other ways.
I have no one else to turn to.
I am wanted in the Fire Nation,
And a criminal in the Earth.
My family thinks I'm a failure.
And the only one who believed in me ran away.
Then there was you.
You took me in as your son.
Trained me through banishment.
And stuck with me no matter what.
Through anger, sadness, hopelessness, and so much more,
You were always there for me.
I took you for granted.
And now you're gone forever.
Now I see,
How much you really meant to me.
I'm crying for you to come back.
But you're already long gone.
And I am alone.
Your spirit is still here with me,
But your one true voice has left.
