She was healthy, last I saw her.

"Mrs. Svensen's here, sir," Lucy tells me. I manage a nod and she heads back for the door, and appearantly hesitates, "Sir?"

"Alls well," I say. C'mon, up, off the bed...try sitting up. O-kay, that's not working so good. Guess I just stay where I am.

She's healthy. She's standing right there, not wearing one of the V-necks she'd wear back when Jordan ran things, but not a turtleneck like I'd had on earlier either. "I agree," Devon says. Good to know. "All's well that ends well." Yep, just like grandma used to say.

"Optimist," I say, smiling. Doesn't hurt to smile, literally.

"You're going, then?" Devon asks me.

"Yep." No choice, really. I'm about as far from well as I can get. "I'm going." You, on the other hand... and I don't say anything about that. I can't, I won't.

Stay healthy, Devon.

"Mr. Tyler?" she asks, the door cracked open a hair.

"Come in, Mrs. Svensen," I say, and she does, walking up to my desk, and she stands there. "Shawn said he talked to you."

"He did, and I'm staying right here."

This may be our best shot at keeping out of captivity...and you don't want in. "I really can't convince you to come with us, can I?"

"You can't," she says.

"Any plans?" To be honest, I'm surprised she's still here, now that Jordan's dead.

"I'll stand with the employees." I nod, seeing a strategy there, whether or not she does: hiding in plain sight.

"You might get arrested."

She gives a half shrug. "I was supposed to go before Congress when I was taken. I'm just a little late."

I smile. Been a while since I heard anything that could pass for a joke. "Best of luck then," holding out my hand to her.

"Thank you; best of luck to you as well," she wishes me, clasping my hand.
