Bad Company

A/N: I don't own Naruto... I am answering a challenge. Someone said in my last fic that I made Sasuke to emotional to that effect. So here is the finished product. Hopefully its ok... It's 1:26 in the morning what can I say? Hope you like.

Sasuke had his head down. The rain plastered his bangs to his forehead. His red eyes glittered in the darkness. He was on the run from ANBU assassins. They had been running him like a cow in a cattle drive. He knew it was a trap, but he had one up on them. He knew that Naruto and Sakura were with them, and they wouldn't hurt their former teammate. They called him a deserter and it was the truth. The Village of the Hidden Leaf was no longer his home anymore. The brand of Rebel and outcast would forever brand his name. There would be nothing left to return to if he ever went back to the temporary jail house that they called a village. Shaking his head there was some lie in that thought, he just wouldn't admit it to anyone even himself.

His revenge called to him like the rising of the sun. Every town knew who he was. He was a wanted man. His rough exterior hid the hurt and pain within himself. Naruto was his best friend, and Sakura was something else and that's all he'd say about her. Somewhere deep inside he knew that his brother and Orochimaru would use them against him and the best way to avoid that is to avoid them. So now here he stood. The rain coming down was washing away the semi-happy emotions. One day he would need them but thus far he needed to finish this revenge mission. His brother and Orochimaru needed to pay for the crimes that they had commited through their existence on this planet. Reaching up he touched the mark on his shoulder. The binding seal was still there that Kakashi put on him. Standing up he knew that the ANBU members were getting closer. Sakura was slightly flaring her chakara letting him know that they were getting closer to him. Of course he didn't need her to tell him that. Snorting at the thought he leapt from his branch and kept running.

The rain cooled for the moment the burning need to stop. It somehow drove him on into the darkness. Due to the adrenaline coursing through his veins due to the hunt he knew that he'd be able to run all night. Pushing more chakara into his legs he increased his speed. To the naked it eye he'd be a blur through the woods. The rain didn't deter him in the least. He wasn't the one to lie down and die. There was his goal and he wouldn't stop until it was completed after that he didn't know what life would bring him. When that day came he'd be ready for it.
