I know Fai and Sakura isn't really a common coupling for Tsubasa, but I think they're cute together. Sakura and Syaroan are still my favorite, butI like Fai and Sakura as an alternate couple sometimes.

Save Me

Fai's sapphire eyes wandered over to the princess of another world. Her golden hair blew in the wind as she rested her head in her arms, leaning against the balcony of the house they were staying in in this world. Her emerald eyes had a far off look to them as they gazed off into the distance. Fai wondered what she was thinking of, and found himself hoping her thoughts were on him.

His heart gave a sudden lurch at the thought. Why would he think something like that? It was crazy….But crazy thoughts sometimes become more crazy, there's no way to stop them once they start. And soon he was hoping she was not only thinking of him, but thinking of him the way he sometimes found himself guiltily thinking of her.

Fai felt as if he could hit himself for thinking of the princess in a romantic way. Syaoran, his new friend, was searching all over for the feathers of her memory, he was in love with her. Anyone could see that. But just because he found himself slowly falling for the sweet innocence of Sakura didn't mean he would try to take advantage of the fact she had no memories of Syaoran and try to make her return his feelings. So why did he feel so guilty? These thoughts…they were killing him inside. He felt so stupid. Falling in love with the girl like this. It would only lead him to pain. It was getting harder to hide his feelings the more they grew and he was becoming worried, insecure. Would the others soon realize? His energy was wasted away with all his worried thoughts.

Each time he thought of her, he became angry with himself. How could he allow himself to fall like that? And when he was around her, he felt panicked. What if he couldn't control himself? He tried to tell his mind to stop, but it wouldn't. It just wouldn't listen to his pleas.

Sakura, seemingly to not have noticed him, spoke.

"Do you think we'll find one in this world…?" She asked.

Fai stared at her a moment, and gave her a smile as she turned to look at him. "I'm sure we will." He assured her. "Goodnight little princess."

With that, he turned and headed to his and Kurogane's room. Maybe if he could just get to sleep his mind would be at peace. He lay down on the little futon mattress set up on the floor and covered himself with the blankets.

Somebody save me from these thoughts…from these feelings…Fai thought to himself, staring at the ceiling. Soon he was fast asleep in a dreamless sleep.
