Kya and Frank had eventually with the help of the nativs, figured out how to use the portal. And once they used the portal they figured out there were a few more worlds out there that hadn't been discovered yet. The first one they fell into was a lonely world full of darkness. Creatures that bared an amazing resemblance to the bats flying around in her home world. They had to be extremely cautious because if they were seen by even one of these strange creatures you would be swarmed by a tornado of them. Atea, who had come along to see the new worlds made a name for the bat-like creatures, he called them snarks.

Then Atea noticed a sort of stone with strange markings. He stared at it in awe for what seemed like ten minutes before he finally spoke.

"It can't be" he said

Kya, wanting to know what the heck was going on glanced at Frank who just shrugged his shoulders. So she went over to the rock and said "what's so special about a rock?" But when she bent over and picked it up Atea shouted

"NO, DON'T TOUCH THAT!"

But it was too late. Once she touched it she felt icy hotness serge throughout her entire body. She tried to throw it to the ground but she couldn't move. She opened her mouth to scream from the pain but nothing came out, but as she did the pain stopped, the stone fell from her hands and she fell to the ground.

She woke up with Frank and Atea hovering over her.

"What happened?" she asked.

Atea shouted " I told you not to touch it!"

"Well you could have told me sooner!" she scolded

Feeling angry at herself for doing something that seemed so stupid she went for a walk around. She walked around exploring the strange world feeling slightly different. Since she was being extra cautious to avoid the snarks and the fack that she was so angry she hardly noticed anything was wrong. It was like a maze with towering red walls of rock. As she turned a corner she came face to face with a snark! Frightened she jumped back into a wall. And out of the corner of her eye she noticed a light. She quickly spun around to see what it was. As she did the light slowly dimmed. She flipped back around only to find out she was alone again, and the snark had flown away.

"That was strange." She said to herself.

She looked over the wall to try and figure out what happened. Then she found an engravement a few feet about the ground. She traced the outline with her fingertips. Then she placed her palm on the top of it then…..
