Summary: She snuck into his system through his blind spot. NejixTenten
Not my players, just my playground.
He was not supposed to fall in love. Ever. It was not fated to happen. It couldn't have been fated to happen. He was not supposed to have that weakness because he was a genius, a prodigy. She wasn't supposed to become so important to him, that when she caught a kunai in her abdomen, and he saw all of her blood gushing out, he couldn't even breathe. She was never supposed to mean so much. She was supposed to stay a teammate, an acquaintance, a sparring partner, not a friend, a confidante, and definitely not a romantic interest.
He wasn't supposed to love the way she smiled at him when they saw each other. He wasn't supposed to love her infectious laughter. He wasn't supposed to love the graceful motions that her body made when she executed her infamous technique. He wasn't supposed to love the way she trusted him implicitly. He wasn't supposed to love the determination in her eyes and the way she threw herself into everything that she did.
He wasn't ever supposed to love her as much as he did. He didn't know how she snuck into his life and his heart. He didn't even know when he started to realize that he loved her. He thinks that he always loved her, but that emotion was hiding in his blind spot, in that 360th degree.
Sorry about the suckiness. This is my first excursion into the wonderful world of NejiTenten. Constructive criticism is welcome. Thanks for reading!
