Disclaimer: Hmm I think that if I were Jk then I would be working on the seventh book, not some silly fanfiction.

A/N: How come I always get way more hits than review? Do me a favor, if you read, review! PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK! Anyway, to the story.

Prologue

It was late of Friday night. The stars twinkled dimly overhead and the lake glimmered with a mirror like sheen. If you were to gaze upon the castle, you would see flickering orange-yellow glows coming from each window as flames licked the bricks containing them. A young girl sat on the sandy shores of the lake. Terrors of the day forgotten as though all thoughts had drifted out over the lake. The girl's red hair glistened in the moonlight. She gazed at the lake, the night sky reflected into its watery depth. She was peaceful, unaware of the eyes fixed intently on her. This was a regular occurance. For it was the only time she could escape. Her gaze lifted to the sky but flew to the Forbidden Forest as she heard a twig snap. Grey eyes fixed upon brown ones. She waved it off as an animal but worry flooded the back of her mind. She turned to the castle and noticed that several fires had been extinguished. She collected her bag and sweater and stood up, heading back to the castle. A boy stepped from the shadows of the forest. His hair was black and eyes grey. He stood about six foot six and his body was muscular from years of quittich. He followed her back to the castle silently, not even the swish of his cloak could be heard.

A/N Yeah yeah, its short but its the prologue. The next chapter will be a lot longer. READ AND REVIEW!
