Tired of Hiding
By: Daystar-chan
But they tell him it's wrong; it makes him feel dirty, and he hates himself for it for years. (Yamakeru)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He's a child in their eyes, and it's understandable. He's eight-years-old; they think it's just the result of the divorce, and the fact that the two boys miss each other more than anything. But he knows it's something more, and he never stops thinking about it.
-------------
Twelve-years-old, and those bright blue eyes have started dimming. His family's been torn apart for years now, and he's unsure of who to turn to. His mother and brother are busy with their careers; talking to his father is out of the question. His friends tell him that they're there to listen, but he doesn't think they'll understand.
His mother's never abused him, and his father's always tried to be there for him. His brother does his best to do whatever he can for him. But they tell him it's wrong; it makes him feel dirty, and he hates himself for it for years.
-------------
He's sixteen now, and he's tired of being told what to do. He knows what he wants - he's not confused, and he understands more than people give him credit for.
His eyes are faded and full of tears. He's clutching desperately at another man's shoulders, and the older boy above him is whispering apology after excuse into his ears. I never meant to leave you alone, Takeru -- it won't work out, they won't accept us -- I don't want to see you hurt anymore, otouto.
I don't care if they accept us -- why can't you understand that I want to be with you? Yamato is kissing him, and suddenly he doesn't care what's being said; even if it's only one night, he'll take it.
He's in love with his brother, and he's not hiding it anymore.
