He never knew why they kept fighting the good fight. The only thing he did know was that she would never stop fighting it. Its as if she had to fulfill some ultimate mission that went beyond that of destroying each and every vampire. If that's how she wants it, then he would be along side her until the end. The end of what, he didn't know. But he hoped that it would come soon so that they would finally get a chance at a normal life.

Deep down, that's all he really wanted. A normal life. Maybe with a two-bedroom apartment and a big living space. Big enough for Zoë to have all of her friends over for a "kick-back." Zoë. He's always treated her like his daughter, so why not include her in his "normal life?" He could easily have this life right now, if it weren't for one thing. Abigail Whistler was still fighting the good fight. Without Abby, Hannibal King had no life to live for. So until this ultimate mission of her's is completed, he would have to settle for fighting along side her every night after tucking Zoë in for bed.

A/N: hope you guys like this. I might possibly create a full on story to this, but for now it will be a one-shot. I'm sorry for any spelling or grammatical errors I have made. One of my pet peeves is when people point out my spelling or grammatical errors, so please if you're going to review this story, then don't mention any such errors to me. Thank you!
