Valentine's Day At The Judgment Bureau

Disclaimer: I do not, in any way, own the storyline or characters of Yami no Matsuei/Descendants of Darkness. They belong to Yoko Matsushita.

It was early in the morning on Tuesday, February 14, 1997. Everything was as it always was; the cherry blossom trees continuously shedding their beautiful, dainty, pink petals and the Judgment Bureau was as busy as ever. Yet, they still managed to set aside a time to celebrate. After all, it was Valentine's Day.

"Oh, you shouldn't have!" Tsuzuki exclaimed gleefully as he was handed a large, heart-shaped box of assorted chocolates. "Valentine's Day only comes once a year, you know." Tatsumi replied with a smile. Hisoka managed a smile as he said, "Hope you enjoy them." "They're from the finest chocolate store in Nagasaki. Go ahead, indulge!" Watari happily added.

"I sure will! But, I'd like to share it with all of you, too." Tsuzuki said as he held out the opened box. Tatsumi, Hisoka, and Watari all gladly took a piece. Tsuzuki, cute puppy ears, tail, and all, wagged happily. This was one of those times where you could forget all your problems and worries.

To just enjoy the company of your dear friends. It made him feel good, for these moments were few and rare. Tsuzuki suddenly sprang up and hugged them. "Thank you for being here for me, my friends." Tsuzuki softly said as the others joined in the embrace. The rest of the day was a blur to them all, but that heart-felt morning would be remembered forever.

Author's Note: A little something that I thought up on Valentine's Day. It was a quickie, but a warm and welcoming piece of fanfiction nonetheless.
