Harry Potter and The Fulfilled Prophecy

Chapter 1:The Long Summer

Every house on Privet Drive seemed to look the same, at least to muggles, but not to the wizarding world. They were not concerned with whose lawn was best kept, whose child went where, or what secrets are being kept from the rest of the world. All they cared about right now was a skinny, black haired boy with a scar on his forehead. This particular boy was living at number four Privet Drive in his cousin's old bedroom. He was looking at the thing that caused so many people pain and yet was the thing that could help him save the wizarding world.

Harry Potter had been staring at the locket that reminded him of that dreadful night ever since he returned to Privet Drive. He hardly talked to the Dursleys since he returned and told them about Dumbledore's death. He only talked when he was spoken to and when he told them where he was going. The past week seemed to have dragged on forever, especially since all he did was think about that night, which only made his eyes run like waterfalls.

The next month was the same as the first week of his dreadful summer. Very few letters came since the only people writing were his best friends, Ron and Hermione, and the girl he loved, Ginny. Even though he loved Ginny, thing weren't the same as when he told her it was over, he talked things out on the Hogwarts Express and they were back together but something didn't feel right. Harry's room was cleaner then normal because he received great news that he would be picked up a five o'clock today and be taken to the Burrow! It was now five minutes till five and in five minutes he would be taken to the Burrow, his friends, and Ginny. He expected to be escorted by guards like in his fifth year but he was wrong. Instead of guards showing up, there was a knock on the door and people talking downstairs. After a few minutes there was a knock on the door and before Harry could open it, Ron and Hermione came through the doorway.

"Hey, is this all?" asked Harry with a surprised but suspicious look on his face.

"Yeah, are we not good enough for you?" replied Hermione in a joking tone, trying to look serious.

"Of coarse you aren't, you should know that by now," he teased as he gave Hermione a hug and punched Ron in the shoulder, who returned it right back.

"You ready to go, mom wants us home by twenty after five. Personally I am surprised she let us come by ourselves to pick you up with al that's happened," Ron told Harry with a half-hearted smile. Harry knew what Ron was talking about, Dumbledore. To Harry's surprise, for the first time in a month and a half, he didn't cry and the thought of his name. He didn't know if it was because he was trying to be strong for his friends or he realized he couldn't bring him back by crying.

Hermione seemed to know what Harry was thinking and said," we miss him too, you know."

"Yea we do," sighed Ron. After a few silent minutes, which Harry thought was Hermione's fault, he asked,"How are we going to go back, brooms?"

"No, Ron's dad set up a portkey, we leave in two minutes so grab your stuff," stated Hermione in a state of shock. Hermione grabbed Harry's trunk, Ron grabbed Hedwig, and Harry grabbed his Firebolt. In two minutes, Hermione counted down,"three…two…one," and they grabbed the busted old lamp shade and were taken to the Burrow.
