Severus Snape.
You could ask anyone about him, and they would tell you 'A traitor'.
He has killed in his life, how many times, we can't know. But he has. He has also played on two faces.
Dumbledore's man and Voldemort's spy.
Two not so different faces.
In the end, he betrayed. He killed the only man that could save him and the only that could help the Boy Who Lived.
Because that's why he killed him: Albus Dumbledore was Harry Potter's protector. The only wizard Voldemort had been afraid of. The only wizard that could help Harry.
Now, the Boy Who Lived was alone.
Without a protector.
Why?
Why had he done it?
Why had he killed Albus Dumbledore?
And most importantly, why did he hate so much Harry?
The answer was simple: jealousy.
Harry's father had gotten the only woman Snape had been in love of. A forbidden love. The only woman that he felt could understand him.
He had enrolled to be a Death Eater.
To kill muggle-borns, and, perhaps, the man that had stolen away his love.
Years later, he had come to Hogwarts.
A live proof of his unreturned love, of his lost love, of his hated love.
He hated him with the same passion he hated his father.
Because of that, he had vowed to make his life hell.
Because of that, and because of his eyes.
The same eyes that had haunted his dreams since that dreadful night.
The night his love died.
If you evr ask him, he'll deny.
'Severus Snape does not love', he'll say.
But it's a lie.
It's all a lie.
A lie that will become a nightmare.
Because he knew they were going to meet again.
And he knew that, this time, he won't be able to escape Harry Potter's wrath.
And the last thing he would see will be those eyes.
Eyes that could have loved him, and that will yet hate him, until his last breath left him.
Why the Dark side, you ask?
The answer is simple.
Love, jealousy, hatred.
The Dark side will always be waiting.
This is actually my opinion on why does Severus Snape hate Harry Potter so much.
You don't need to like it, or love it, or even agree with it. I just wrote it for fun.
