This started as something else entirely but I liked where it was going.
I want to treat this as a humor similar to the Addams Family mixed with HTTYD. Any ideas?
As Vecna monologues to Jane/11 on how he did everything, she thought fast. When she got to the part on how he made the mind flayer, she acted fast.
Acting in desperation, she screamed and activated her powers.
The room blurred and she woke up somewhere new.
Groaning, she woke up to a Demogorgon sitting across from her.
Screaming, it flinched, but then crouched down as if SHE was a dangerous predator.
Gasping in new fear, she sees it.
She sees a battered Peter Ballard walking up to the cliff overlooking the storm that would be the Mind flayer.
She's in the past!
"Hey… you hungry? See that person over there?" She pointed to Peter, it looked at him intrigued. "He has strong powers like me. But he's bad! He will hurt you!" She quickly hid behind a rock and played up how scared she was.
The Demogorgon seems to understand her, even looks at Peter as he slowly limps to the cliff.
"Hurry! If he changes the thing in the sky, you all will be under his command! He's bad!"
Standing up, the Demogorgon gave a mighty screech and charged to the unsuspecting future-Vecna.
As Peter started to raise his arm, it heard a screech. He turned and-
Too late! Like a blur, the Demogorgon struck and bit his head off.
Overwhelmed with so many emotions, Jane let herself cry.
Eventually, the Demogorgon returned.
With a friend.
And a Demo dog lurking on the rock she's leaning against, above her.
The first Demogorgon screeched at them as it cautiously inched closer to her.
"Th- thank you." It stood and tilted its head.
Thunder rolled and the would-be Mind Flayer moved on to somewhere else, losing interest.
Relieved, she leaned her head back against the rock, only to startle at the Demo dog.

With dread, she remembered how this happened a few years before Will was first taken.
But.
She has her powers back! And Jane discovered she can open and close gates. (She tested it next to Castle Byers as a landmark to recognize.)
She debates on making the Upside Down like a copy of Hawkins like how Vecna did.
The Demogorgon's seemed intrigued at this mystery place. (Jane is learning to understand them through body language).
She gets an idea.
If Dustin can train a Demodog, can't she?

In the next few years…
While successfully training the Demogorgon's (and making a small pack of them in the process) Jane gleefully opened and closed gates around Hawkins to get around and go 'shopping'.
Until she bumped into Hopper and Joyce. Her future parents.
They were standing with the other cops outside, Joyce just saying hello on her way to work.
Jane then made sure to shave her hair just before the next day to resemble her younger self, arms full of Eggos, and opened a gate right in front of them, and closed it. (Making absolutely certain a Demogorgon was clearly visible on the other side when she opened it so that no one will ever call Joyce crazy ever again. Bonus, the other cops all believe her should a Demogorgon go rogue).
She did the same to all of her future friends, even Eddie, and Jane's sister to reconnect. (She somehow became the town's cryptid/legend as someone with superpowers and able to tame the strange creatures as pets.)
She had the more well behave ones follow her into Hawkins to ease them into it (as a reward system) and to get the locals used to them around. Somehow.
That way, when a much younger 11 opens a gate, they have all the cards and clues to connect to her.

And then, it finally happened.
She's been dodging the increasingly persistent Hawkin's lab trucks trying to follow her, only to bump into a very frantic Party plus Jonathan that Will is missing and was hoping she knew where he was.
She facepalmed. She knows exactly which one it was that took Will. After spending so long training them, she has them pegged on who's guilty with what.
Who wants to name the one that took Will?
