I only know pokemon from red+blue games and a few from silver+gold, that's it.

The show starts. The cheesy theme song lyrics tell us that Ash's very test is to catch pokemon, and to train them is his cause.
Once this song ends and the people scream "POKEMON!" we find ash in Professor Oak's lab...
"Ash, you need to choose a pokemon that you and various other washed out hobos- I mean successful trainers and breeders can run around and fight trainers, gym masters, and earn badges that you can use to enter huge tournaments that you will never win but you will keep on trying until the day you die!" said the Professor as quickly as he could, which wasn't very fast. he fell to the ground.
"OK..." said a bored Ash that hadn't been listening at all as he was still busy singing the theme tune.
Ash stood there for a few minutes while Professor oak got back on to his feet.
"yes! anyway! unfortunately I have given away all my decent pokemon to a man called jimmy in return for 3 magic beans! which I've eaten! but you can have this one!"
Pikachu ran into the room and stared at ash "PIKA PIKA!" he screams. he then turns to the side and swallows Oaks desk whole.
"isn't he sweet?" screeches Professor Oak as he leaves the pair in his lab alone.
"OK... should we go catch some pokemon?" said ash as he shoved some of oaks pokeballs into his jacket. (THIEF!)
"yeah lets go!"
"ok!...huh?"
"uh... PIKACHU!"
"OK! let go!"
and the two set on their journey to "catch 'em all"
the pair had been traveling for an hour and just reached viridian forest.
"ZOMG! look! it's a weedle! I bet those are really rare!" screamed the idiot, "Pikachu! GO!"
Pikachu shot out ashes hat (his new penthouse apartment) and bounced up to the weedle "PIKA PIKA!".
the battle screen from the game pops up.
/YOU SENT OUT PIKACHU/
"WOW! I'm pixilated!"
the selection menu comes up also with the classic choices. Ash chooses FIGHT. The only choice from here is "THUNDA!".
"YEAH! Come on pikachu! use "THUNDA!" NOW!"
Pikachu steps forward ready to shoot this "THUNDA!" from where the sun don't shine.
/WEEDLE USED "CRAWL INTO ASH'S POKEBALL"/
/YOU CAUGHT WEEDLE/
/WILL YOU GIVE IT A NAME/
"I shall call him fluffles!"
/YOU PUT FLUFFLES INTO YOUR PARTY/
Ash dances around a bit then sends out fluffles.
"what do you say then?"
"um..." said the weedle, "... blepplederry pie..."
"blepplederry pie! what the hell is that!" screamed Ash, "pokemon return!"
fluffles jumped into his pokeball and Pikachu into his penthouse baseball cap.
Ash continued on his journey through viridian forest.
