Complex
Edward Elric was a complex being, a walking contradiction.
At least, that was how Roy Mustang saw him. He was bright spot of captured sunlight, but at the same time he held an aura of darkness that radiated like a dense heat, growing warmer with time. His jaded eyes held in their depths a well of cynicism while still bearing a childlike naivety that was beautiful and wrong all at once.
In bed he was not a snuggler by any means, choosing to lay back to back with his lover, detesting the feeling of being smothered, but all the same desiring that warm, comfortable weight at his back, reminding him of the presence of another.
With all his inconsistencies and incongruent nature, it made up one whole that captivated and intrigued, capturing one's attention and demanding recognition.
Roy Mustang wonders if this is the reason he loves him, for all the complexities that encompass the blonde.
