Cheatnapped!
Prologue
It was a peaceful night in Free Country, USA. The night was pitch dark, the moon was bright, the stars were shining – and high in the sky, a spacecraft began to descend upon the land. The spacecraft descended to the ground, almost touching the grass below, but then ascended to a hover at around the height of a 2-story house. The craft moved through the houses, obviously searching for something, although what it was looking for was not clear.
At the Strong household, the residents went on blissfully unaware of this mysterious invader. Strong Sad sat in his room with a late-night snack and some paper for writing his midnight haikus. Strong Mad shot some night scenes for his latest independent film, "Doug the Dino 2: Electric Dinoloo".
Strong Bad and The Cheat were both in the basement, sound asleep and snoring lightly. Strong Bad still held a half-empty bag of "POTATES" brand potato chips in his hand, and The Cheat held a canned Cold One in his furry un-fingered clutches.
Suddenly, a bright green light shone outside of the house. Strong Sad and Strong Mad were startled by the light and immediately looked out their windows to gaze at the blinding light. They both stood in shock for a minute, then ran outside to see the source of the green light shining outside.
The light was being generated by a strange spacecraft floating beside the Strong household, as the two brothers soon discovered. Strong Mad was confused by the craft at first, then suddenly he became angered by it.
"GO AWAY!" Strong Mad yelled defiantly at the spacecraft, but his yell could barely be heard over the loud hum the spacecraft had started to make, and the spacecraft and its green light remained remained.
Strong Sad gaped and quietly muttered a haiku to himself…
"So bright a green light
Glowing through my window and
Waking my big brother"
Suddenly all of the green light was channeled into a single beam and the loud humming stopped. The craft suddenly moved from its place beside the Strong house to directly above it. The light beamed through the ceiling into the room directly below it – Strong Bad's computer room. Suddenly, the beam caught hold of the Lappy and the Lappy began to float upward towards the craft. The Lappy then passed through the ceiling as if it was made of air, and floated up into a duct on the side of the spacecraft.
The Strongs heard a chattering from inside the spacecraft. It sounded like it was in a foreign language – one that sounded unlike any language they'd ever heard before, yet oddly enchanting and even familiar. The sound was so beautiful and enchanting that the brothers were taken aback by this piece of alien magic. Then, suddenly, the talking stopped as the Lappy flew out the side of the craft, landing in the backyard and shattering into thousands of pieces.
"GOOD BYE, STRONG BAD…" They heard the Lappy's female voice simulator say, her voice getting lower and lower as she spoke.
"Oh man…" Strong Sad sighed. "Strong Bad's probably going to blame that on me…"
Without the loud hum, the aliens in the spacecraft could now hear the Strongs much better, and this sudden outburst caused Strong Sad to bring attention to himself. Before poor Strong Sad knew it, he saw a beam of green light heading toward him. It was different then the one that had sucked up the Lappy, he noted in his head.
It was a laser beam.
Strong Sad made no effort to get out of the way (as he was too stunned by the suddenness of the alien attack), but Strong Mad jumped on Strong Sad and rolled him to the left, causing them to both barely avoid the green laser light. They both quickly ran down the street, heading towards the King of Towns' castle to report the UFO.
The craft was eager to blast the two Earthling spies, but decided it was not worth a chase. They continued to beam the light through the house. This time, the beam did not hit anything in the Computer room, which allowed it to travel through the Computer room floor into the basement – landing on The Cheat.
The Cheat was instantly awoken by the odd light, but in a second his eyes glazed over and appeared to be in some sort of trance. He floated upward, passing through the basement ceiling into the computer room, then passing through the computer room ceiling into the outside – but then suddenly the beam lost its grip on The Cheat and he fell backwards onto the roof. The Cheat got up angrily, jumping and swearing at the alien invaders in The Cheatish.
Meanwhile, the thump on the roof when The Cheat had landed had been enough to wake Strong Bad up. He quickly woke up and looked to his side, seeing The Cheat was missing. He assumed that The Cheat was out getting himself a midnight snack, until he heard the angry The Cheatish swears from atop the roof. He quickly ran outside and saw The Cheat, hopping with fury and pointing at the UFO above the Strong house.
"THE CHEAT!" strong Bad yelled up to his furry, yellow friend. "JUMP DOWN! I'LL CATCH YOU!"
The Cheat nodded his oddly proportioned head in agreement and began to jump when he was suddenly caught by the beam again. This time ,the beam did not falter and brought The Cheat through the duct on the side of the ship until he disappeared into the spacecraft.
"NOOOOOOO!" Strong Bad yelled, double deucing the aliens in his fury. "YOU CRAP-FOR-BRAINS! THAT'S MY FRIEND YOU TOOK!"
The aliens fired a series of warning shots down at Strong Bad, which he tried to dodge. The final shot pierced Strong Bad's foot and Strong Bad fell to the ground in pain. He watched the craft fly away with his friend.
"Nooooo…" He muttered under his breath, clutching his foot as he shed a single tear.
