Luz looked at the spirit in front of her, with wide eyes. Emelina Noceda, or Emily for short, looked at Luz, waiting for a response.

"Hey, cousin, you going to say something?" Emily asked, "I'm dying to talk to you."

Emily floated over to Luz and went behind her. She stuck her head through Luz and looked up at her through Luz's stomach.

"Emelina... you're... you're dead." Luz said, "You died almost a year ago!"

"I know, it's why I'm purple, transparent, and can go through you." Emily said, going through Luz completely and looking at her in the eyes, "So, what's new with you?"

"W-w-what are you doing here?"

"Uh... haunting you?" Emily said, "Come on, I want to hang out with my cousin!"

"Hang out? You came back as a ghost just to hang out?" Luz asked in shock.

And people thought she was weird!

"Why not? Why say goodbye to loved ones before you're ready when you could come back as a ghost?" Emily asked.

"Besides, this is so cool." Emily said, "I can fly, walk through walls, go invisible. It's actually pretty cool. Plus, I can still hang out with people I know."

"People? As in more than me? Who else have you visited?" Luz asked her cousin.

"My parents, that's about it."

"Oh well that's good. Not that it's bad but people who only know about the supernatural should be in your list." Luz said, adjusting herself to sit comfortably. "So, what exactly could we do to hang?"

"I don't know, what's happened since 2019?" Emily asked, "Come on, it's been a whole year since I was run over, things have to of changed since then."

"Well okay….." Luz said, scratching her head a bit.

"Are you dating anyone?"

"No, still single." Luz said, somewhat sad. "Just haven't found the right one."

"Shoot, but don't give up, girl! You'll find the right one someday." Emily said as she punched Luz's arm.

Her punch went through her.

"Oh, right. Spirit." Emily said.

Luz chuckled a bit at this, finding the attempt very funny.

"Better luck next time." Luz said.

"I'm getting better at it." Emily said, "I can grab things for an extended period of time."

"Really? How long exactly?" Luz asked.

"About 6 hours or so, why?" Emily asked.

"Because I was thinking about playing a few video game rounds with you." Luz said.

"Luz playing video games?" Emily asked, "Wow, you really have become a nerd."

"Being a nerd is better than being a ghost. Biggest reason, I can still EAT." Luz said as she chomped her teeth a bit.

"Oh, sure, bring that up." Emily said, "At least I got magic out of this."

Emily held her hand up and made one of the game controllers float towards her, showing she had levitation magic.

"Yeah but I don't think it's worth much." Luz commented.

"Well, I can also do Oracle magic."

This made Luz stop.

"W-w-what?"

'Did I hear that right?' Luz thought in slight shock.

"I said I can do Oracle magic. You know, telling fortunes, reading minds, talk to other ghosts, possibly seeing the future, summoning spirits, all that stuff. Basically real life voodoo." Emily said with a shrug.

Luz suddenly got the biggest smile.

'Dad wanted proof... he's got it.'

I have a lot to say. I have to put several stories on Hiatus for the next couple weeks due to me going in and out of a hospital for tests to check on my heart and see if it may kill me, so I won't have much time to write.
