Chapter 4: He's Mine!

A/N: Ok then, people prepare yourselves, some bitch-slapping will occur. Also thanks for the reviews everyone! I feel so happy!

Asuka was reading a book in the park trying to clear up her head. But when she saw Rei and Mana pulling on Shinji, she thought, 'Oh God, by the end of this year he's going to be ripped apart! Those freaking bitches are hurting my- I mean that Baka!'

She stood up glared at them to prepare herself for her attack. 'Let's see, should I be merciless? Or should I just give them a warning? Nah, those bitches have been messing with him for too long…'

"Why hello Rei and mana!" said Asuka with a fake smile.

"Hey Asuka, Shinji come on! Let's go watch a movie!" said Rei completely ignoring Asuka.

"No he's coming shopping with me!" yelled Mana.

"He's mine!"

"No he's mine!"

DOUBLE SLAP

Mana and Rei's faces pulsated on the area where Asuka had slapped them.

"Hmph, you bitches better stop or I'll kick your asses into the next universe!"

"What the hell was that Asuka!" yelled Rei placing her hand on her face.

BAM

Asuka was knocked down to the floor quickly coming back up from the impact.

"No one gets away with hitting me in the face!" yelled Mana.

Asuka's eyes turned red with fire burning in her, she was pissed now.

"You had your chance Mana!" and she ran at her and punched her in the face.

After Mana got up they glared at each other and started beating each other up. Rei was getting scared, but thought, 'Now's my chance to get away with Shinji…' So she started to walk back…

"Oh no you don't! You aren't going anywhere!" yelled Asuka and Mana at the same time.

And they fought, slaps in the face here and there, rolling around, stepping on feet, punching and kicking. Asuka ended up winning with just a bruise on her eye from Mana's punch earlier. She left them unconscious lying there.

"That's what you get when you mess with my Shi- I mean friend." And she turned to face Shinji, but he wasn't there.

"Shinji-kun…"

"Ok, so everyone is concerned about Shinji and Asuka's behavior lately right?" said Hikari standing in front the others.

"I know, Shinji's always off somewhere else hiding from them," pointed out Kensuke

"And I'm surprised Asuka isn't being the pain she's always been," said Touji then getting bonked in the head by Hikari.

"Well, you guys do realize the way they look at each other right?"

"Hmm, you're right! Whenever I'm not online, I just look around the class, and I do notice Shinji looking at Asuka and Asuka looking worriedly at Shinji whenever something weird happens during our conversations."

"Wow Kensuke you must really be bored!" said Touji making Kensuke angry adding another bump on his head.

"But they've been friends for a long time!"

"I know, that's a good reason. Most people who are friends for a long time eventually fall in love. Especially when…" but Kaworu turned his head trying not to tell them.

"What?" the rest said in unison.

"Don't tell Shinji I told you ok?"

"Sure."

"Ok."

"Please tell."

"Well apparently even I knew Asuka since we were small. We attended the same school."

"Wow, that's weird," said Hikari.

"Yeah and you know how we were always chased by girls, and Shinji would hide away and go listen to his SDAT, well a couple of weeks later after it started, he told me of this girl he always saw, and how she always yelled at him while he was up in the tree."

"No way!" yelled Touji and Kensuke.

"That was?"

"Asuka, he said he liked her sense of humor, how tough she was, how pretty she was and adored the clips in her hair," Kaworu explained. Touji and Kensuke were gagging at this but Hikari thought it was sweet.

"Although a week after he told me I moved and told him luck. But then, I come see him again, and he became childhood friends with her…"

"I wonder how that happened?" thought Kensuke.

"I don't know, but anyways what are we supposed to do?" asked Hikari to everyone.

"Do we set them up?" asked Touji.

"No, we just talk to them whenever we can, wish for their safety, and help Rei and Mana realize it."

As Asuka walked back home, she saw Shinji sitting at the park again and approached him.

"Hey Shinji," she greeted.

He turned to her and smiled, "Hey Asuka."

"Umm, you know we havn't talked in a long time."

"I know."

"It's all Rei and Mana's fault!"

"They have been bugging me, but they're just being nice."

"But they're keeping you away from me."

Asuka tried to keep it in, but it just came out.

"I hardly get to see you, they keep pulling you away!"

"I know, I missed you, I've wanted to talk to you and the others in a long time."

"Can't you just telll them to go away?"

"That's hard you know. They'll get hurt and maybe throw a fit."

"I see, but please, don't let them take you away from me or any of the others."

"I won't, we're childhood friends right?"

The word childhood friends hit her, 'Yeah…Childhood friends…But Shinji-kun…'

"Yeah, we are friends."

She hugged him and cried softly into his arms. He noticed it and looked down at her. He saw the sadness in her eyes.

"Asuka don't cry please…"

"Shinji-kun?"

"Yes?"

"I'm you're childhood friend right?"

"Yeah."

"Do you remember when we met?"

At that moment Kaworu and the rest were walking out to get ice cream when they saw Asuka and Shinji together. Touji was about to say hi but then Hikari pulled him away and told him to let them be.

"Yeah I remember…"

FLASHBACK

Chibi Asuka is running around with friends but then she stops at a bush.

"Hey you're that kid who made that awesome painting of the school!"

Chibi-Shinji looks up at her and blushes, "Thanks for the compliment. Who are you?"

"I am the great Asuka Soryu Langley!" she said with pride brushing her hair off her face.

Chibi-Shinji smiles, "I'm Shinji Ikari."

END FLASHBACK

"I remember that oh great Asuka Soryu Langley," he said trying to cheer her up.

"I remember too, I used to always see you in a tre or in a bush listening to that SDAT of yours."

"Yeah, I was pretty shy, until I met you. You showed me that I shouldn't be afraid of people."

"Yeah I guess so."

"But you know, I already noticed you before you began to yell at me."

"What? Really?"

"Yeah, I hid there for a long while, and then I used to also always see you, then when you started yelling at me I developed a little crush on you."

They both turned red and had an awkward moment of silence.

"Wow I never knew that."

"Well now, we're friends right?"

"Yeah, I guess…"

"Hmm?"

He then turned deep red.

"Shinji-kun, I-I l-love y-you," she said and turned all red.

"Oh Asuka, I do to. I've had that crush, and always have…"
