Chapter 5: New Victim

"A crush?" she then looked down.

"What?"

"I mean, isn't that a bit small?"

"What? Oh, but Asuka I guess I didn't explain it that well. Asuka, every since I first saw you, I've had a crush on you. And over these years, I tried to take it away because we came the best of friends and I thought it might ruin it if I said something. But it was too hard, every time I tried, I fell deeper in love."

There was a moment for her to turn red and back to her normal colors, "Ok, I'm sorry to have questioned you. Please just never leave me, ever."

A/N: Now we have Asuka and Shinji together, and now its going to be a series full of romance, humor, and at times sadness and drama. And I decide to use the FRIENDS theme song for my fic. Also go on and search Evangelion and there's a video in there that has the theme song of friends and they put it into a video it's so cool!

A month has past and people started taking in the fact that Shinji and Asuka were now boyfriend and girlfriend. Rei and Mana were crushed when they heard about this. Day after day they stalked Asuka and Shinji hiding in the trees. But unfortunately, one day Asuka caught them and pummeled them to a pulp.

"Oh man, all the guys here aren't as good as Shinji…" said Mana as she and Rei walked through the mall.

Rei nodded, but then she looked around and caught the eyes of most of the guys around, "No too scrawny, too ugly, glasses are way too big, aww man…" But then she caught a glance of Kensuke playing at the arcade with Touji and Kaworu.

"Oh…" she began and faced Mana who also was staring at someone.

"I know…" said Mana.

They turned to each other and Rei began, "I want him!" and she pointed to Kensuke.

"Him? Oh I see, then he's definitely mine!" Mana said pointing towards Kaworu.

So they rushed to them and interrupted their game of Pac-Man world 7.

Kensuke had his eyes glued to the screen, while Touji played happily, and Kaworu, he saw them coming and mumbled, "Uh-oh…"

Rei came in first and dragged Kensuke away from the screen, "Kawaii! You're so cute you know!"

Kensuke first looked very puzzled, but then he caught on and turned red, "Y-you're not that bad yourself."

Rei grinned widely, and attached herself to his arm.

Mana came right up to Kaworu, "Hey there! You know me, I'm Mana!"

"I know, you're in my class…"

"Oh yeah, I have seen you a couple of times before!"

Kaworu put on one of those sweet smiles and Mana simple grinned wider.

"Oh you're so hot!" then she put her hand on her mouth and turned red.

"Don't worry, I don't mind, and anyways, you too."

She turned red and nearly fainted.

'Yes, she would do nicely,' he thought as he scanned her.

SLAP

"Pervert," came a very familiar voice.

"Asuka that wasn't nice!" yelled another.

After Kaworu got up he looked at Asuka and saw the embarrassed Shinji.

"Hehe, sorry Kaworu," he waved at him and turned to Asuka.

"Why'd you do that?"

"Hmph, he had it coming! Did you see the way he looked at her?"

"Didn't you see the way she looked at him?" said Shinji pointing to Mana who was now attached to Kaworu's arm.

"Ok fine…"

Hikari then came in to see them, "Oh hey you guys! Where's Touji?"

"There," said Kensuke as he pointed to Touji.

Hikari slowly approached him, "Hello Touji."

"Hi," he quickly said.

Hikari noticed this and tapped him on the shoulder, "Hello?"

NO RESPONSE

"Hello?"

NO RESPONSE

"HELLO!"

NO RESPONSE

Hikari got so pissed off, she kicked him in the nuts and walked back to the others.

"Whoa Hikari! I never thought that someone like you would do that!" said Shinji gasping in shock.

"I know where she's getting it from, Asuka there is rubbing off on Hikari," said Kensuke.

Asuka got angry and hit him on the head.

"Hahaha you're funny!" said Rei giggling, Kensuke continued to blush as she giggled.

"Bitch…" said Asuka under her breath.

Shinji hearing this, elbowed her, "Asuka!" he whispered.

She just put on her puppy eyes and he quickly smiled forgetting before.

Hikari finally reached them and pouted.

"Whoa, nice one!" yelled Kaworu still laughing at the boy lying on the floor.

"Ugh…"

Hikari just sighed and marched out. The rest watched her walk out and looked at each other.

"Hey Rei, I challenge you to a racing game!" said Kensuke getting excited.

"Hmm…I guess so, although I must warn you, I'm quite good!"

Kaworu just sighed and said, "Well, it is Sunday and it's near the end of today, so we might as well watch them," he then told Mana to go ahead of him and asked Shinji and Asuka if they wanted to watch.

"Hmm…I just want to see if blue there can actually do something else besides squeal over a guy," said Asuka grabbing Shinji's hand dragging him along.

"But I thought we were going to go home…"

The next day they all walked to school together, Touji, Kaworu, Kensuke and Shinji were all talking about the latest movie, 'Red Snow'. While the girls spoke about the new shopping mall coming in a week.

"Hmm…I've always wondered, the way we met each other, the accidental bump ins, do you think it was meant to happen?" asked Hikari.

The others just said "I don't know," and Touji said, "Who cares?" Hikari got angry again and hit him in the head.

"Man Hikari, why are you hurting me so much?" asked Touji, but she just turned away.

"Hey you guys, soon we're going to have that field trip to that lake!" said Shinji really excited.

"Hmm…You're right, oh I can just see all the girls…" said Kaworu.

Shinji eyed him and gave him a wink.

"Hey, hey Shinji! I saw that!" said Asuka.

"G-gomen nasai!" said Shinji.

"You better be! You can't think about other girls you baka!"

Shinji just put his head down in shame.

Misato began telling them of the lake, "Ok kids, in two days we're going to Lake Misuteri and we're going to have fun swimming, and collect shells to research, and see if the legend of the Misuteri Sea Monster exists."

SlyGuy: Wow, we're going to actually search for a sea monster? What a bunch of bologna!

SilentWind: I don't really care about that, I just want to get some sea shells and draw them!

SupaStud: S-sea m-monster?

Gotchya: Yeah, I heard it's been spotted there a couple of times, its supposed to be some huge fish with teeth, rock hard scaled and a freaky moan.

Cutie69: How long will we be there?

IronMaiden: I think we're staying for two nights.

SupaStud: T-two nights?

RedDevil: What afraid Suzahara?

SupaStud: N-no of course not!

SlyGuy: Dude, your pratically having a seizure.

SilentWind: Yeah Touji, are you ok?

Gotchya: How about I send you a picture?

SupaStud: N-no it's ok…

ClassRep: Don't worry Touji, Misato won't make us get into contact.

RedDevil: It's probably just some joke don't worry.

SilentWind: Yeah Asuka's right

SlyGuy: Yeah, just relax, and watch the calm water.

IronMaiden: I like the way you think Kaworu.

Gotchya: I hope it's real, I really want to see it!

Cutie69: To tell the truth I do to, sorry Touji.

RedDevil: Don't mind that, Shinji it's lunch, let's go!

"Shinji-kun, so have you ever gone surfing before?" asked Asuka quietly eating her lunch.

"Yeah, with my parents, and once with Kaworu."

"Isn't that kind of young?"

"I think so, but Kaworu dared me, luckily we made it," he said.

"I see, you'll show me right?"

"Of course, I can't have you get into danger again!"

Asuka turned red, "Thanks again for before."

"If I lost you I wouldn't know what to do."

"Shinji-kun…"
