Chapter 8: Halloween Dance Preparations

A/N: Ok then, nearing the end of October, it's time to plan for the Halloween Dance.

"Ok class, you do realize that it's near the end of October, so we're going to plan the Halloween dance!" declared Misato.

"Aww man, do we have to wear costumes?" complained Touji.

"No, just a dance, and please everyone start deciding what songs you want, then write it on this list. Ok, then Hikari, arrange the class into groups."

"Hmm, what groups?"

"Ok, there's the music people, decorations, special effects, food, and the contest host,"

said Misato writing it on the board.

"What contest?" asked Rei.

"There's going to be a dance competition!" said Misato in excitement.

"Oh, ok then. Um…Sanosuke, Rita-san, Suzuki, Sakura, Roan, and Rena-chan is music, Asuka, Shinji, Kaworu, and Mana are decorations, Kensuke, Rei, Shigu, Tsubasa, Lena, Mika, and Judia are special effects, Touji, myself, Lee, Maria, and Kouga are food, and Riku is the host!" declared Hikari.

"Good job Hikari, and for me, I'll be a judge for the dance competition, there are two categories, single and couple dance ok?"

Everyone turned red, but then went over what they had to do.

SilentWind: Wow, a dance?

SlyGuy: Yup, hopefully, there won't be any sucky music…

RedDevil: I know Sakura, and the others, they won't choose any bad songs.

ClassRep: Yeah, those guys know the best j-pop and latest songs, and anyways, we can suggest songs.

Cutie69: Hmm, Special effects eh?

ClassRep: I thought it might be a good experience for someone like you.

Cutie69: What's that supposed to mean?

ClassRep: Nothing, I just thought being around computers and stuff might be a new experience.

Cutie69: But, oh never mind.

Gotchya: I'm on that team too, I'l help you get used to it.

Cutie69: Really? Thanks so much!

IronMaiden: Hikari, why'd you make me on the same team as her?

RedDevil: What do you mean? You should be honored to be on the same team as I!

SilentWind: You guys…At least we get to be with friends.

RedDevil: Friends? Oh yeah…Sorry Mana.

IronMaiden: Yeah, I'm sorry too.

SlyGuy: so you guys, what are the decorations going to be?

IronMaiden: The usual Halloween stuff.

SilentWind: Yeah, but not too scary.

RedDevil: Maybe we can put a picture of that fish! Don't you think Touji?

SupaStud: …

ClassRep: Oh God you guys. He wouldn't dance if that were there.

SilentWind: Don't worry Touji, for your sake, we won't.

SupaStud: Thank you!

SlyGuy: So, spiders, skeletons, the fake web stuff?

IronMaiden: Exactly!

RedDevil: Simple enough. How many days do we have?

SilentWind: I think we have three days.

They all huddled into groups the next day.

"So, Shinji you have to get the stuff. Mana and I are planning it all, and you Kaworu, you make sure that Shinji gets the right stuff, and everyone pitch in for the stuff," declared Asuka. They all nodded and Shinji and Kaworu left to plan on what to get. She and Mana planned where to put everything.

"Ok, so in order to not break into a fight, I do this side and you do that."

"But I want to do the right!"

"What? Is there a difference?"

"Yeah, the right has the stage and you know it!"

"Are you accusing me of something?"

"No, you just want to get more of the glory of the dedcorations, that's not much."

Asuka glared at her and tried to restrain herself from punching Mana's head off.

"Ok then, fine you get the right."

"Thank you."

"Bitch," Asuka mumbled under her breath.

"So Kaworu, what should we get?"

"I don't know."

Shinji took out a piece of paper, "Ok so, skeletons, bats, the cotton for the fake webs."

"How about glow in the dark skeletons?"

"You're right, the gym's probably going to be all dark so we might as well."

"And maybe some fake spiders."

"Yeah, and one more thing."

"Ok, last we'll put some fake goo on the wall."

"Good idea, it'll be scary, but not scary enough to make Touji wee in his pants."

Kaworu just laughed at his comment.

"Ok then, Touji, you and Hikari can take care of punch and chips, and we'll do the rest," Lee said.

Touji and Hikari nodded as they left to their desks.

"I am so excited that we're doing food!" said Touji rubbing his hands together.

"That's good for you, anyways, I do punch and you decide on the chips," she said taking out pieces of paper for each of them.

"Sure, that's simple enough. I'll just get two bags of every type of chip."

"Ok, you put a lot of thought into it," Hikari said rolling her eyes.

"I know, so how about you?"

"I think people wouldn't mind if I put some fruit punch and mango juice and that's it," and she finished off her list.

"Ok Kensuke, you and Rei will make sure we have good enough flashy lights ok?" said Mika.

"Ok then," they both said heading towards Rei's desk.

"So, from above or below?" asked Rei

"Both would be fantastic!"

"Can I decide the colours?"

"Sure, any colour remember, be as creative as you want."

"Ok then, all of them! Except black and white though."

"Do they include the different shades?"

"Only blue, it would take too long."

"Ok then, tomorrow we can test them out ok?"

"Sure," and she smiled.

The next day they set up the whole gym, everything looked good enough, and scary enough. Touji only wet his pants a tad bit. All they had to do was suggest songs.

A/N: Sorry, yet again another short chapter, but to tell the truth, I guess that's why I update pretty fast, they aren't even that long each chapter. And thanks again for the reviews, they remind me to update!
