Danny spent years fighting ghosts, training under Vlad and with his family, he got Sam to Join him, teaching her the best ways to fight as E.J helped her with her transitioning. Who needed legal transitions when you lived with murderers, right? Tucker and Ben ended up dating pretty early on in their ghost fighting career, which surprised no one. Jeff and L.J had made a few bets with people to guess when they'd start dating or how, and L.J ended up winning over 100 dollars, much to Jeff's annoyance and everyone else's amusement.
"Alright ghost boy, show me what you can do." Danny smirked at his friend, his older brother watching from outside the training ring.
"No powers, okay Ghostie?" Danny laughed at his brother, grinning. At his distraction, Sam launched herself at him, armed with a knife that she tried to strike him with. Danny dodged, gasping in surprised delight. He laughed, his grin only growing at the way his best friend smirked at him, twirling to the right and sending a kick his way. He caught it, throwing it back to the floor and dodging the attempt at a slice against his cheek, she was distracting him, clever. He didn't really fight with weapons when training, preferring to use his hands in a fight. It was something he was used to. They kept fighting, Danny dodging and Sam trying to strike him, they listened to Jeff give tips and make stupid comments, the three of them laughing and goofing off.
"Guys! Lunch!"
They stopped, glancing up at the sound of Jazz, Danny's brother and Sam's current girlfriend. Sam grinned, flicking her wrist and summoning a vine to wrap around Danny's leg as he started to jump out of their training ring, which quickly pulled him to the ground. He yelped, accidentally hitting the floor face first and snapping his nose. The three laughed, Jeff and Danny knew that the ghost teen was fine, though Sam retracted her plant and checked on him, panicking.
"Shit! Sorry!" Sam knelt by Danny, helping him up and grimacing at the way he licked his own blood. He was like a weird ghostly vampire and it kind of freaked her out sometimes. Though she couldn't really say much, she had to eat fruit from the ghost zone after they had a run in with Undergrowth, a plant god from that realm. She'd gotten infected and became a mother to his spores as he overtook the earth. At the very least she got ghost powers from it, and was saved by Jazz coming in with Danny's new ice powers.
Danny gently poked her nose, getting her to flinch at the sudden contact.
"Come on dumbfucks, you spaced out." Jeff said as he grabbed their hands, pulling them upstairs to get food. He dragged them all the way to the kitchen, their affectionate physical touch pretty much normal. They were all family, so no one cared.
Danny smiled at the group in the dining room, sitting down beside Tucker, who of course was tinkering with something. Ben was supervising, making sure they actually ate food.
E.J and Jazz were cooking, since she'd come to visit due to Getting a very short holiday break from college. Sam kissed her cheek, smiling happily at her girlfriend before she snagged a sandwich and went to the table, sitting down beside Tucker and Danny.
"Hey, your nose is bleeding." Danny looked over at Sally, jumping a little. His adrenaline was spiked and he was hungry, making it a little hard for him not to hyperfocus on any ghost or demon around him.
He snapped out of it, reaching up to grab his nose and shift it back into place. He winced, letting out a shakey breath and wiping the blood on his sleeve. He didn't wear his mask much in the mansion, not where he was comfortable with his family. He hummed, picking up a flask he had tucked in his hoodie pocket. He sighed, annoyed when it was empty.
"Just wait ghost boy, try one of mine." Sam was pressing something against his lips and despite his momentary panic, Danny opened his mouth and let his friend feed him some sort of berry. It was bitter and sweet, making him shudder and moan unapologetically at the delicious taste of ectoplasm. He tried to grab one from Sam, who was growing a small spawn of them from her very hand. She pushed him away, indirectly starting chaos at the table.
"Food fight!" L.J was fast, excitable and wild. When he saw the fighting he immediately acted, declaring a fight and throwing the first thing he could get his hands on. A pie. Those were a clowns specialty, weren't they?
Jeff yelped, throwing his plate of left over spaghetti from the night before at the clown, who dodged easily and accidentally got E.J hit with a plate in the back of the head.
"That's it Jeffery!" Some people laughed at the practical war that started, others joined in, and some fled. Though eventually, Slenderman had to stop the battle, leaving Danny, Sam, and Ben very disappointed. Most were sent to their rooms to calm down, mainly Jeff, L.J, and E.J.
"It was fun while it lasted I guess." Danny said, plopping himself onto the couch. He looked over at Sam, wordlessly asking for more of those awesome berries. She laughed, sharing with her best friend and munching on berries.
"So much for Lunch, huh?"
"We could go hunting if you wanted. Get a body, find a ghost, or ferment the berries with the blood and make wine."
"That would take too long though, and I'm absolutely not saving your drunk asses if you get in trouble." Ben sat down on Danny's stomach, stealing one of his ecto berries and grinning as Sam laughed.
"Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I think we're alright." Sam smirked, high fiving with the gamer ghost, much to Danny's annoyance.
"We gonna go or not? It'll be boring with everyone else in trouble."
Tucker appeared suddenly from behind the couch, leaning against it beside Jazz.
"I'm not in trouble. Now, what was I overhearing about hunting?"
