Chapter 17: Cookie!
A/N: I know it's a cookie, but hey there's a reason for that!
An hour after the show, Shinji lay at home in his bed listening to his SDAT. He smiled as he stared at the ceiling, the songs he listened too were sung by his friends. Kensuke got it for him and he was thankful for that. To tell the truth, all of them had pretty good voices!
After the next song, he paused it and stared at the cookie lying next to him on Mr. Snugglekins, a teddy bear Asuka got for him to congratulate him at their ceremonial at the closest ramen stand.
He then frowned at the cookie, standing up he walked to it and leaned over to pick it up. Cookie in hand, he observed it. There was only half for he and Asuka shared it. He then took a bite because after all this time he never took any attention to it. It was pretty good.
"Wow," he said breaking the silence in his room.
Staring at the clock he looked at the cookie again and his eyes burst open.
"Holy shit!" he swore out loud, he dropped the cookie and then slowly approached it again.
"What is that?" he asked crawling over to it.
He stopped and cautiously picked it up and stared at what he found so amazing. It was a tiny portal.
Misato sat in her chair at home and with a beer in hand she watched as Pen pen walked in with a package. With Pen Pen dropping it she picked it up, with her blurry vision she couldn't see much, but there was something in huge letters.
"THANK YOU FOR VOLUNTEERING TO TEST OUR OUTER DIMENSIONAL COOKIES."
After reading it twice and dropping it and picking it up again, Misato realized what it meant.
"Shit."
Asuka was amazed at the tiny little portal hidden within the cookie's chocolate chip.
"And I thought they were being asses for rewarding us with a stupid cookie."
Suddenly a voice came from no where, "We like you."
"Ah!" she screamed and dropped the cookie.
The tiny portal opened and a little hamster appeared. It had blue fur and a red jacket.
"What in the world?" she said backing away from the giant hamster.
The hamster was the size of her, with its blue fur it really creeped her out. Asuka's sight drifted down to it's jacket, labeled on it was 'Cheese is nice', and then under it was red cheese.
"Hello," it said.
"Ah!" she backed away further.
"Don't be afraid Asuka-chan," it said smiling going towards her.
"How do you know my name?"
"We have our sources," it said approaching.
" 'We'?" she asked stopping.
"The 'Cheese is nice' club."
"What do you want with me?"
"Come…" it then grabbed her hand and they vanished.

At school, students buzzed around Shinji, but he ran away and Touji covered to kick their asses. Kaworu and Kensuke then approached the tired Shinji with smiles.
"What's with the smiling guys? Your creeping me out!" he asked placing his hood on and placing his head down.
"Nothing, we just heard that Asuka was kidnapped by a huge hamster!" Kensuke said then burst into laughing.
"Hamster?" Shinji said placing his head down as Touji approached driving away the fans.
"What are you talking about?" Touji asked sitting down.
Kaworu took out a letter from his pocket, "see."
Dear People,
We have come to borrow the girl. She seems to be quite the fascinating subject. So taking her for the next two weeks, we'll be interviewing her. So don't worry, she's in good hands!
Bleh,
Hamster
"What the hell…" Shinji said dropping the letter.
"SHINJI!" Misato said bursting in running up to him.
"What?"
"The cookie!"
"What about it?"
"It leads to other dimensions!" she finally said.
The room silenced and everyone except for Shinji sweat dropped.
"Have you gone mad Ms. Katsuragi!" Hikari asked.
"N-no it says here!"
Shinji grabbed the package and mouth went open as he read it. He stared at the letter then the package.
"I think I need to take a walk…"
"Hey wait up!" Kaworu called out running towards the white faced Shinji.
"Seen a ghost?" Kensuke asked walking towards Shinji also.
"What in the hell?" Touji asked coming too.
"I dunno," Shinji said looking at the letter again.
"How'd you get this anyway?" Kensuke asked taking a look at the letter.
"Mana gave it to me!" Kaworu said as they reached Asuka's place.
"Mana!" Shinji yelled out and then he opened the door to see Mana and Rei.
"Hey guys!" she said smiling.
"What are you doing here?" Shinji asked walking towards Asuka's room.
"Investigating," Rei said taking out a cookie from the floor.
"That's-
"It's the cookie from yesterday…" Shinji said in utter disbelief.
