Katsuki checked his phone as he stopped in front of the school. He'd made it just in time to avoid the crowd. He pulled open the door and quietly made his way down the hall, past the classrooms. He stopped at the last door to his right and waited for the teacher to finish talking.

"Now don't forget your cards for Mother's Day. You've all worked so hard on them and I know your parents will love them." She said. "Now, it's time to get ready to go home, they should be here very soon. I want you to go get your things at sit at your desks." Bakugo cringed at the chorus of chairs scraping against the floor as the children obeyed their teacher. All he noticed except Youko.

The five-year-old girl bowed her head silently. She wiped away a tear from her eye, waiting for her classmates to take their seats before going to retrieve her backpack. Katsuki entered the room, walking over to his daughter's desk and kneeling at her side.

"Hey." He said softly, causing her to turn. "What's going on? That kid messing with you again?" Youko shook her head, throwing her arms around her father.

"No. You were right about Raidon, Daddy. Since I punched him in the face, he doesn't pick on me anymore." Katsuki smirk.

"Then what's wrong with you?"

"Can we go home?"She requested softly. Bakugo embraced his daughter, standing up with her in his arms, taking the backpack in his hand, and slipping it onto his shoulder.

"bye-bye Youko!" a young girl with blue hair shouted, waving her hand.

"Bye, Yuno."Youko sniffled as her father turned to leave.

"Mr. Bakugo?" Katsuki sighed but faced the teacher. "I know it's the weekend and you've probably had a long day, but if you wouldn't mind stepping out into the hall for a moment, I'd like to have a word." He reluctantly obliged as more parents arrived, rushing through the door.

"The teacher, a young woman with kind eyes and gentle tone, placed a hand on Youko's shoulder.

"What's going on?" he asked.

"Well, as you know, Mother's Day is coming up and I'm sure you've noticed the drawings our students have done."

"Sure, what about it?"Bakugo asked though he hadn't actually noticed the other children's projects.

"Mother's Day seems to be a difficult topic for little Youko. When I told them we'd be making mother's day cards and pictures, she seemed to feel left out. I thought it was important for Youko's sake to bring it to your attention. She's usually such a sweet, cheerful child, and to see her react that way-"

"Yeah. I'll talk to her."Katsuki said, his eyes fixed on Youko. "Thanks."

"Of course. I'll see you Monday, Youko. Feel better sweetheart." the teacher gave a short nod before returning to her room and allowing Bakugo to leave. Once they were outside, Katsuki readjusted the strap on his shoulder and began to walk in the direction of their apartment.

"So, you had a tough day too, huh?" He began. Youko nodded. "You wanna tell me what your problem is?" Youko laid her head on Katsuki's shoulder.

"Daddy, why don't I have a mommy?"Katsuki froze.

"What are you talking about?" He questioned.

"Everyone in my class can make presents for their mommy, even 'Zuku has one and you. Mika said his mommy told him that the mommies and daddies get babies from a stork. If there is no Mommy for me, how did it know you wanted me? Where am I from?" Katsuki was at a loss.

"But you have something they don't. You have Deku." He pointed out.

"Yeah. I love 'Zuku lots. Why can't I have a mommy? Is it because I punched Raidon?"

"Listen, Youko, you-" He looked into his daughter's tear-filled eyes and had no words. "You know what makes Deku feel better sometimes when he's sad?"

"Daddy hugs?" Youko asked.

"That too, and hugs from his favorite kid in the whole world. Do you remember who that is?" The child nodded.

"Me! "Zuku hugs are warm and snuggly."Katsuki chuckled.

"Yeah. Tell you what, Little ass-kicker, let's make a couple stops on the way home. We'll go to the store and get a few things and then-" He pulled his phone from his pocket, checking the clock. "We might make it in time to meet Deku when he gets off work."

"Can we walk home with him?"Youko sniffled.

"That's the plan, "Bakugo confirmed. When they reached the shopping center, Katsuki set Yiuko on her feet, moving to grab one of the carts.

"Can I please have a baby cart?" Youko pointed to the row of child-sized carts. "Zuku lets me, I get to be his special helper at the store."

"I know. If you do, you gotta stay right beside me. You start wandering off and I'm making you put it back." The young girl took hold of the handle, pulling one of the carts away from the rest and following her father into the store.

"Will you be home with us, Daddy?" She asked as they approached the floral department. Youko adored the displays of carnations and roses as well as the vases. Her mood seemed to lighten as they moved further inside.

"Yeah. I had an early shift, so we'll all be home. What should we make for dinner?"

"I don't know. Today is a sad day. Can we make baby pizzas?"Katsuki ruffled his daughter's hair lightly.

"Sure. You know what else I was thinking? Let's get some ice cream. We haven't had an ice cream party for a while." Youko offered a sad smile.

"Okay." She said, turning her attention back to the flowers. She paused suddenly. "Daddy, Daddy, look they're pretty." She pointed to a small bouquet of red and white roses." Katsuki rolled his eyes, having no interest in the plants.

"Come on. Deku-"

"Can we buy them? 'Zuku would be so happy, Daddy. I like the pretty pink ones over there too."

"The carnations?" Her father asked.

"Yeah. They are my favorite ones." Youko explained.

"I know. You tell me every time I bring you in here. Let's just get our stuff so we can-"

"But Daddy...you love us. You don't like to tell us but I know. I'm very smart."

"Hell yeah, you are. You're my kid." After leaving the store with more than they had planned for, They found themselves just outside of the hero agency as Izuku opened the door.

"'Zuku!" Youko cried, throwing her arms around him. He immediately embraced the child.

"Hey, Sunshine, how was school today?"

"Can I have up?" Deku lifted her into his arms, noticing the single pink flower.

"That's pretty, did you get it from class?"Youko's piercing red eyes met his gaze.

"No. Daddy bought it to make me happy. He's a good daddy. He said we can have baby pizzas and an ice cream party at home. Today was a sad day for me and Daddy made me feel a little better. We have a present for you too."

"You do?" Izuku asked, touched by the gesture.

"Yeah, we do." Katsuki moved forward, holding out the roses. Izuku stared at him for a long moment. Izuku took them cautiously.

"They're beautiful, but...you've never bought me flowers before, is everything okay?"

"It was Youko's idea. I just paid for it." Bakugo said, leaning forward and kissing Izuku. "We need to talk later." He whispered into his lover's ear. Deku nodded.

"Looks like your dad's getting to be a little softer than he used to be." Izuku teased. Bakugo narrowed his eyes.

"The hell did you say, Nerd?" Youko giggled.

"You're so silly, Daddy and 'Zuku."

"You're lucky I love your dumbass," Bakugo growled.

"Did you just say that out loud in public?"Izuku asked in astonishment.

"Damn right I did. You're still my nerd, even when you piss me off."Katsuki draped an arm over Izuku's shoulders, drawing him closer. The family began their journey home. Deku couldn't help but wonder what his love had to say. He had a feeling it had something to do with Youko's 'sad day.' and he hoped she hadn't started to follow in Katsuki's footsteps.
