Sorry I took so long to update here is the next chapter. I hope you like it.

Cristina checked on Morgan for the fifth time that evening. Her little girl had been sleeping since they arrived home from daycare. As Cristina poked her head through the door, she saw the two dark brown eyes of her daughter starring back at her.

Cristina pushed the door all the way open and stepped inside the neat room that was her daughter's bedroom. "Hey, Morgan do you still feel bad?" Cristina asked as she walked over to the bed and lowered herself onto it.

The little girl shook her head from side to side, making her curly brown hair bounce from side to side. "My throat still hurts and I can't breathe through my nose," Morgan said as she climbed into her mother's lap.

"Tomorrow we'll go to the doctor so they can give you some medicine to make you feel better," Cristina said as she began to braid the unkempt hair of her daughter.

"Mommy, you are a doctor," Morgan said trying to look up at her mother, "can't you give me the medicine?"

"You're right I am a doctor, but you see I operate on people. The doctor you're going to see is a doctor that works only with children called a pediatrician." Cristina told Morgan as she continued to braid her hair.

"Oh," Morgan said.

"Are you hungry Morgan?" Cristina asked lifting Morgan off of her lap and placing her on the floor. She then stood up and looked down at her daughter.

Once again Morgan used actions instead of words by bobbing her head up and down in response to her mother's question.

"Come on I made some soup earlier," Cristina said walking out of Morgan's room with Morgan following behind her.

Cristina placed a bowl of chicken noodle soup in front of Morgan, as the little girl sat down at the small table. Morgan stared at what her mother considered soup and made faces.

"What?" Cristina asked as she went back into the cooking area to make herself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

"This is not soup is it?" Morgan asked as she stirred the liquid with her spoon.

"Yes," Cristina said as she sat down next to Morgan. Soon after she settled down, there was a knock on the door.

"Who do you think that is Morgan?" Cristina asked as she got up from her seat and walked over to the apartment door. Standing outside was Meredith holding a bag from Jason's Deli.

"Hey Cristina," Meredith smiled as she stepped into the Yang apartment.

"Hey. What do you have in the bag?" Cristina asked curious as to what the restaurant bag held.

"It's soup. I know how bad your cooking is. You can't even make canned soup right. I thought it would be best to get Morgan some soup from Jason's instead of your terrible concoction." Meredith said taking a thing of soup out and putting it on the counter.

"My cooking isn't that bad is it Morgan?" Cristina asked turning to her daughter. Morgan bent her head down instead of looking at her mother. "Is it really that bad?"

"Yes, the soup is yucky," Morgan stated pushing the still full bowl away from her. "Can I have some of the soup that Meredith bought?"

"Yes, here," Cristina said as she poured some of the restaurant soup into one of Morgan's ninja turtle decorated bowl.

While Morgan ate her soup, Cristina and Meredith sat in the living room.

"Why didn't you tell me Burke was the new surgeon?" Cristina asked.

Meredith sat quietly before she responded. "I forgot?"

Cristina stared her friend down with the patented death stare in an effort to force a real response from Meredith.

"Fine, I didn't want to be the bearer of bad news." Meredith said caving in to the death stare from hell.

"It's not bad news, it's just news." Cristina said.

"Uh-huh. So, how do you feel, about him being back?" Meredith asked.

"I don't know. He's here he's back. Should I feel anything?" Cristina asked emotionlessly.

"Cristina he's…"

"I'm finished," Morgan called from the kitchen, interrupting Meredith.

"Coming Morgan," Cristina said getting up from her seat. She walked back into the kitchen to find an empty bowl in front of Morgan.

"How come you never eat my soup like that?" Cristina asked as she put the bowl in the sink.

"Because it's yucky and it never looks like soup. Can we watch a movie now?" Morgan asked getting down from the chair.

"Sure,"

"Can Meredith stay?" Morgan asked as she walked in front of her mother out of the kitchen.

"It is up to Meredith,"

"What's up to me," Meredith asked as she saw mother and daughter enter the room.

"Will you stay and watch a movie with us?" Morgan asked Meredith as the young child climbed onto Meredith's lap.

"I guess I will." Meredith smiled.

Ten minuets into the movie Morgan fell asleep. Meredith decided to resume the earlier conversation. "You should feel something, he's Morgan's father," Meredith said.

"What?" Cristina asked confused.

"You should feel something."

"Well I don't. He broke up with me and then moved to another state. Therefore, I do not feel anything for that man." Cristina lied as she turned her attention back to the movie.

Morgan began to move from side to side and then settled down before Meredith decided to talk. "Why are you lying to yourself Cristina? I saw the look you had on your face when you saw him. When he ended your relationship you cried for a week. When he left, you cried for a month. You haven't had a real relationship since Dr. Burke. Why are you so afraid to admit that you are still in love with the father of your gorgeous daughter?"

"Meredith you do not know what you're talking about. I have no feelings whatsoever for that man. He is just another surgeon at the hospital that I'll eventually have to work with. There is absolutely nothing special about that man." Cristina stated as she stood up from the couch and picked her sleeping daughter up. She went into the child's room and laid her on the bed and tucked her in. She then sat down on the bed and stared at Morgan.

"When will you tell him?" Meredith asked from the door.

"Tell who what?"

"Tell Burke that five years ago he fathered a child and that four and a half years ago his child, a gorgeous little girl with brown eyes and curly hair, was born."

"I don't know. Maybe I won't." Cristina said getting up from her spot on the bed and walking out of the room.
