After the ball Clarisse was on the balcony.Joseph watched her from the door.It seemed like she is far away and dreaming…..
Joseph wanted to know what is on her mind,so he stepped closer and asked her:
„Clarisse are you all right?"
„Yes…yes,I'm fine!"-answered Clarisse
„Are you sure?"
„Yes."
„Do you want to tell me?"
„No…"-said Clarisse-„I mean there is nothing to tell."
„Nothing…?"
„All right………I was wondering…about the meaning of life…"
„Oh,I see!The meaning of life!It's quite serious!"
„It's not funny Joseph!"
„Of course it's not.I just wanted to say that your life is……..I've thought you are happy!"
„Oh,yes,yes…..but."
„But?"-asked Joseph
„I want to be happier.I know it's selfish."
„No,it's a natural thing…everybody wants to be happier!...Can I help you?"-asked Joseph while he gently stroked her back with one hand
„You are the only one…"
„The only one?"
„I mean the only one who knows me,really knows me….and who can understand my problem.I know it isn't a real problem like death or something…..but….Do you….?"
„Yes?"
„Do you know the meaning of life?"
„Yes,I do!"-answered Joseph
„What is it?"
„It's a secret!"
„Oh,come on Joseph!Please tell me!"
„No,I can't!"
„I see,you don't know it,you're just teasing me…"
„All right I tell you,but promise me that you won't tell it anybody!"
„I promise!"-said Clarisse
„All right !"-started Joseph while he looked deep into her eyes-„I think that the meaning of life……….that once everybody shall be as happy as……."
„As happy as…..?"
„As happy as me when I be with you!"
„Oh,Joseph..I……I…..Do you really think that?"
„You are the meaning of life!The meaning of my life…."-and kissed her lips with full of love.and she…..yes she returned his kisses with a new feeling in her heart……she found the meaning of her life……….she found Joseph.
