The first thing Domon was aware of was the sun shining into his eyes. The second thing Domon was aware of was that he'd slept in long enough for the sun to shine into his eyes. Weird. Usually Yuuri has me up and working by now. Still too groggy to dwell on it much, he stretched and staggered into the living room.
"Good morning, Domon-san!" Sion looked away from his computer long enough to greet him. Tekku was perched a little further away, still in his sleep cycle. Lucky him.
Domon was never exactly at his best in the mornings, but whenever Sion smiled him he couldn't stop himself from smiling back. "Where'd everyone go?"
"Tatsuya-san has a karate class," Sion explained as he returned his attention to the monitor. "Yuuri-san and Ayase-san both found jobs today."
So they had left him behind after all. Well, that was just fine with him. He had gotten to sleep in today. And with the rest of the day off and Sion to keep him company, things were starting to look up for a change--
"Which means you get to hand out fliers today!" He gave him another grin right before dropping a thick stack of paper into Domon's lap.
"H-hold on a second!" Frantic, Domon pushed the papers away before it was too late. "Hey... why don't we go out to eat today, Sion? Just you and me?"
Sion shook his head good-naturedly. "I'm sorry, but Yuuri-san told me to make sure you did something useful today."
Domon let out a growl of frustration. Unless he did something soon, he was doomed to yet another day of one-man advertising. He usually wouldn't do what he was planning where they could get caught, but he was desperate enough to give a try.
It was simple enough: he'd sneak up behind Sion, grab and tackle him to the ground, and then... make damn sure he forgot about those stupid fliers. But either he was getting slower or Sion was getting trickier, because the next thing he knew the younger Ranger was on top of him, pinning his wrist to the floor.
"Okay, you got me," Domon conceded. "Now what are you planning to do with me?"
"A few things come to mind." He smiled again, every bit as bright and warm as the ones before, but there was something new to this one.
Domon was so used to thinking of Sion as being the exact opposite of someone who would say something like that ever that it took a moment for the words to sink in. When they finally did, he felt like kicking himself. "I've corrupted you completely, haven't I?"
"You haven't corrupted me. You're just very romantic." Domon was never going to get used to how warm Sion's lips were against his. "But at some point you do have to work today."
Well, so much for that plan. "We go out to eat, then work?"
He smiled one last time, leaned down and... it became obvious that Domon wouldn't be doing anything that involved getting off the floor for awhile.
The day was starting out well for him.
