Speed: Yup, the first story of the summer and today it's going to be fun because we're going to a place where frogs roam and humans are left unseen. With my co-writer/ the suggestion of this, Bobby Jenkins!

Amphibia: Calamity Journey
Prologue
The Box
The sun was shining on a school called Saint James high school as the students were hanging around in the yard. A Thai girl with brunette hair and the school uniform was riding her bike to school. This was Anne Boomchuy. She came to a stop at the bike rack and locked up her bike before a redhead girl with a backwards cap. This was Maggie.
Maggie: Hey Boomchoy! Whad'ya eating? A pukebun!
She then starts laughing as Anne rolls her eyes.
Anne: It's not a bun Maggie. It's a traditional Thai snack made from rice and coconut milk. My mom made it for me since you know it's my birthday.
Maggie: Oh well happy birthday. Gimme that!
She then tried to grab her snack.
Anne: Hey get your own Thai mom!
As they were fighting someone took the khoa.
?: Yoink!
They were both surprised and turned to a black haired boy wearing the boy type school uniform with red sleeves. This was Jason Azzam. He was spinning the khoa with his finger.
Maggie: Hey that's mine!
Jason: Hm, don't see your name here but I do see a name called Anne Boomchuy.
Anne: That will be mine, my good sir.
Jason: Here you are fair, maiden.
He hands Anne her Khoa and they both laugh before Maggie is then trying to get the Khoa.
Maggie: It's mine!
Jason: Hey hands off the bun!
?: Hey Morgo!
They all turned to a blond girl with a ponytail with the same uniform as Anne but with a blue jacket over it. This is Sasha Waybright.
Sasha: Leave them alone or else! Also, nice guitar solo Vince.
Vince: Yeah!
Maggie: Oh yeah or else what?!
Sasha: Or else you can't to my awesome house party next week. It'll be so sad when everyone is enjoying the pool… without you.
Jason: Wait, you had a pool? Man, I need to come to your house more.
Maggie: Ah jeez Sash I was just playing.
Jason: (Whisper) Cap.
She then hands the Khoa to Anne and walks away with a frown.
Anne: Thanks dude, Jason are you ok?
Jason: She hit me in my ribs a few but im doing a-ok.
Anne: Also thanks for helping. You didn't have to.
Jason: What kind of boyfriend would you have if I hadn't helped you?
Anne blushes and kisses him on the cheek and he blushes too. Sasha rolls her eyes and chuckles.
Sasha: Never mind that. Happy Birthday girl!
The girls both started to squeal as Jason realized something.
Jason: Oh, Anne, I was going to give you this.
He hands her a birthday present.
Anne: Aw, thank you.
She unwrapped it and inside was a black box. She opens the box and sees a necklace with a blue heart in between. Anne gasped before rapping her arms around Jason.
Anne: This is the best present ever! You're the best!
Jason: I know.
They then got closer before the bell rings.
Sasha: Buzzkill…
Jason: Well I see you later?
Anne: Later.
They then part as Jason heads to class.
Biology
Teacher: Ok class today is your lucky day because it's frog dissection day!
The class ground and Anne flips over a dead frog with her cutting tool and gagged.
Anne: Frogs are the worst.
Sasha: Right, let's get out of here.
She then starts to fake a gag.
Sasha: Mrs. Burke, the sight of blood! I-I'm going to be sick.
Mrs. Burke: Oh dear, Anne, how about you take her to the nurse before she desecrates these beautiful frogs with her vomit.
She squeezed a frog making it squeak before walking away. Anne and Sasha were then running in the halls laughing before they came up to the Algebra classroom where Jason was being held up. Jason was sleeping as his teacher was giving out a lecture before he heard a knock on the door. He turned around to see Anne and Sasha waving at him and smiling.
Jason: Uh Mr. Danik.
Danik: Ugh what is it Azzam, let me guess you feel light headed.
Jason: No, I feel that I'm about to throw up.
He then gags and covers his mouth before barging out fake puke. Mr. Danik just rubbed his nose.
Danik: Just go.
Jason: You the man.
He then leaves the classroom meeting up with the girls. They then ran down the halls until they got to the nurses office.
Anne: Yo Sash the sick room over here.
Jason: Yeah Mr. Danik only lets me go to this point. Don't want to abandon his trust.
Sasha: Forget the sick room, forget school. Let's get out of here and celebrate your birthday in style.
Anne: Ah, skip school, I don't know Sash.
Jason: Yeah that's kinda risky and you're talking to the guy that ate a whole entire food befay without any regrets.
Sasha: Anne this is your 13th birthday and you only get one of these.
She then gets in between them and grabs them.
Sasha: And we're gonna make this the best birthday in the history of Birthday.
Anne: Well… all right but I gotta be home at six. My family is throwing a big party and they really want me to be there.
Jason: And I promised I had arrived like a princess.
Sasha: Yeah, yeah right all that lovey dovey stuff. Now let's get this thing started!
They went to the exit before they were stopped by someone.
?: Hold it right there.
Jason: Wait, please it wasnt me!
?: Gotcha!
They all look up to see a brown haired boy wearing the same school uniform Jason was wearing, but he was wearing a purple leather jacket. This was Reviton McNeal but people call him Rev.
Sasha: Ugh, babe you scared me. What are you doing here?
Rev: I decided to ditch class. We weren't doing anything but watching a movie anyway.
Jason: Dude, my soul almost pounced out of my body.
Rev: Heh, well I heard you guys were skipping school.
Sasha then puts an arm around him.
Sasha: We were about to go celebrate Anne's Birthday. You want in?
Rev: As long as no one gets hurt. Fine.
She kisses him and they all leave.
Outside
Anne and Sasha and Rev were then riding on their bikes, Sasha on Anne's, while Jason was riding on his skateboard. As he gains speed he leaps off a ramp, flying in the air before landing in front of the others.
Jason: Eat my dust!
Sasha: Oh not this time, hit it Anne!
Anne: My pleasure.
She popped a wheelie before racing toward him as Rev then took some kind of motor and attached it to his bike and sped past them.
Rev: Later losers!
Arcade
Anne and Sasha were then playing DDR as they got a high score and cheered. Anne bent down and wiped her sweat as Sasha kicked the machine and the quarters from it as Anne chuckled nervously.
With the guys they were playing a shoot 'em up called Blue Dead Redemption. Jason shot through the bandits before getting his ticket.
Jason: Add these up with these.
He plops down a stack of tickets on the table.
Anne: Whoa, you've been collecting.
Rev: He's been saving up this year. Been coming here every week to play these games.
Jason: Yup and I'm finally gonna use em.
He plops the tickets on the counter.
Jason: One of your largest teddy bears please.
The counter then takes the tickets and throws over a jumbo sized panda bear.
Jason: For you m'lady.
Anne takes the panda bear before hugging it tightly.
Anne: I love it!
Jason: Anything for you.
Rev: Simp!
Jason punches him in the shoulder.
Jason: You simp for blondie over there.
Rev: No I don't, I praise her. There's a difference.
They then laugh before leaving.
Alleyway
Sasha was spray painting the wall with a nervous Anne beside her. Jason tapped her shoulder and she turned to him seeing words in bold words "Spray Painting Is Bad" she shakes her head and sees Rev take the spray paint from Jason's hand and write "Even If He Spray Painted". They then hear car sirens and hide behind the wall.
Park
They were then riding in a shopping cart, Anne and Jason inside. They were about to hit an old lady before Jason leaned them out of the way, still hitting her.
Jason: I'll pay for your hospital bills!
He then turned back to the others.
Jason: (Whisper) No I can't.
Rev just shakes his head as they make it out of the park.
Cafe
They were now in a cafe drinking some unicorn flavored drinks.
Anne: So that's what a unicorn tastes like. Corn syrup.
Jason: Mine taste like rainbows and sparkles.
He then coughs out glitter.
Jason: And glitter.
Anne checks her phone seeing that it's 5:45.
Anne: Oh no it's almost 6:00!
Jason: Well looks like we gotta skedaddle.
Sasha: Family party, right? Lame. With balloons animals.
Jason: I think they're cool.
Anne: I know its not the coolest, but this is important to them.
Sasha ignores her as she looks at her phone. Jason just rolls his eyes and takes Anne's hand to leave before they are stopped by Sasha.
Sasha: Oh my god, Marcy and Tanner, just found the best gift for you.
She then shows them a frog box with 6 different colored gems, red, blue, pink, purple, green, and yellow.
Sasha: A frog music box for the frog lovers. I wonder if those gems are real.
Rev: Meh, they must be fake.
Sasha then started to push Anne to the door.
Sasha: Oh come on, let's keep this party train going.
Anne: Sorry dude you don't understand I really have to go.
She then takes Jason's hand to leave.
Jason: This is the train to a family party. Please keep your cute girlfriends at your side at all times.
Anne and Rev chuckled but Sasha was not amused.
Sasha: Oh I understand Anne, you're a good little girl who has to go home to her mommy and daddy.
She then pulls her and Rev together.
Sasha: Come on, hang out with the friends that love you.
Jason: Sasha this is really important to her and her parents, so can you-
Sasha: Jason I'm talking to Anne.
Jason was about to say something when Rev shook his head and Jason crossed his arms.
Sasha: Anne, this isn't cute anymore. We're meeting up with Marcy and Tanner. Right Now! End of discussion.
This stunned Anne, Jason, and Rev as Anne looked at the clock.
Anne: I guess I can be a little late..
Jason: Sash you can't do that to her. I made a promise she'll get home safe and-
Rev: Jason, I know you want to keep your promise but she can be a little late to some party.
Jason: But-
Anne puts a hand on his shoulder.
Anne: It'll be ok, Jason.
Jason just crossed his arms and sighs.
Jason: Fine…
Sasha: Boom! I knew you'd change your mind.
Jason: This is a bad idea.
Rev: Hey don't worry. What can go wrong?
Thrift Store
Anne was in the store and saw the music box on the shelf. She looks over to the window seeing Jason, Sasha, Rev, and two others. A black haired, Chinese girl in the school hoodie and an African American in polo shirt. This was Marcy Wu and Tanner Magilon.
Jason: Is this a good idea? Stealing the music box. I could've just bought it.
Tanner: I agree we all have enough cash to buy it, Sasha.
He glared at Sasha as she just shoos it off.
Sasha: Tanner, Jason, do you want to spend your hard earned money or get something for free?
Tanner: Be a criminal or spend more money like a normal person. Kinda leaning to the other one.
He was then pulled in for a kiss by Marcy as Anne came out.
Anne: I got it!
Sasha: Awesome! Now let's get out of here before we are caught.
They all ran to the park as all the girls sat on the bench while the guys were on the ground.
Sasha: Now let's see what's in this thing.
Marcy: Ohh, maybe it's some prophecy from an ancient civilization?
Rev: Or some kind of weapon?
Jason: Or it could be just a dead frog in there.
They all look at him.
Jason: What, just a thought?
Anne sighs and opens the box, instead there was a bright light. As they all look closer they were then encased in the light.
Jason: Mother-
Before he could say anything he was pulled in.
???
All Jason saw was black like the void. Jason felt numb from head to toe before something started to shake him.
?: Jason, you ok?
He started to open his eyes to see Anne.
Jason: Is it me or do I see an angel in front of me.
Anne: (Gasp) You're alive!
She then tackles him into a hug as he hugs back. Before he looked around them, being surrounded by trees.
Jason: Where are we?
Anne: I dont know, but Sasha and Marcy aren't here.
Jason: Neither is Rev and Tanner.
He then pulls out his phone seeing a crack on it before turning it on.
Jason: Of course no bars.
He then looks at himself and sees that the left side of his pants are below his knee and there's a bunch of leaves in his hair.
Anne: Jason, what are we gonna do we're stuck here.
Jason then started to think before finding the music box on the ground. He picks it up before opening after seeing nothing.
Jason: Man the thing busted.
Anne: So you're saying we're stuck here!
Jason: Hey calm down there must be a way out of here. All we need to do is stay strong and get through this. Together.
Anne takes a look at him before smiling and taking his hand.
Anne: So what are we going to do first?
Jason: First we gotta find some shelter before it gets dark out, maybe find some food along the way.
They then walked into the forest before Jason pulls out the picture of him, Anne, Marcy, Sasha, Rev, and Tanner.
Jason: And maybe find our friends.
4 Hours Later
Anne: Ugh we've been walking forever!
The camera then zooms out to see Anne was on Jason's back.
Jason: Yup "we".
Anne then felt a raindrop in the sky before it started to pour down rain.
Jason: (Frustrated) Good! Great! Awesome! Outstanding! Amazing!
Anne: We should look for shelter.
Jason then spots a cave before running in as Anne jumps off his back.
Anne: Man I'm soaked.
She then sits down on the ground trying to keep warm. She then felt heat coming from somewhere before seeing Jason make a fire.
Jason: Nailed it!
Anne: Jason, how did you do this?
Jason: My family goes camping every summer. I learned a few things then.
Anne sighs as she gets close to the fire. Jason puts more sticks in before sitting down.
Jason: Find shelter: Check.
They then lau around in silence before Jason heard a whisper.
?: Jaaaassssoooonnn.
Jason: Hm, you say somethin' Anne?
Anne: No, you hear something?
Jason: Maybe I'm just hearing stuff.
He then lays back down before hearing it again.
?: Jaaasssssooooon.
He then hops up on his feet.
Jason: Ok, who's saying my name!
Anne: What is it?
?: Jaaaaassssssssooooooonnnnnn.
Jason: It's coming from down the cave!
He then goes on a full on sprint down the cave.
Anne: Jason!
She then follows him down it. They kept on running until they get to a giant door with some symbols on it.
Jason: What is this?
Anne: A giant door?
Jason then looks at the symbols seeing some man holding some kind of sword going against monsters.
Jason: Whoa….
He then puts a hand on it and the door starts to open. When it fullied they saw a red sword with blue line running through it and a hole at the hilt. Jason starts to walk towards it before Anne takes his hand.
Anne: Jason, this is dangerous.
Jason: Dont worry itll be fine.
Anne was hesitant before letting go and Jason walked up to the sword. He looks down to the pedestal seeing the word "Monado".
Jason: Monado?
He looks at Monado before taking the hilt of the sword before red energy starts flowing through his body.
Anne: Jason!
Jason: I'm fine!
He then lifts it out of the pedestal and held it high.
Jason: Whoa! This thing is awesome!
He then swings it around playing around with it.
Jason: Hey Anne guess what? (Australian Accent) I'm really feeling it!
Anne: Why did you have an Australian Accent with it?
Jason: I don't know? It just felt right.
He then puts the sword behind him as it just floats on his back.
Jason: This thing is so awesome!
Anne: It'll be useful for something.
They then returned back to their camp ground.
Jason: This thing will be so useful.
Anne: (Yawn) I'm tired. We should get some sleep.
Jason: Yeah, big day ahead of us.
They lay down beside each other on the ground. Jason then heard Anne shivering before pulling her against him, keeping her warm.
