"DARLING!"

"(sigh) Please be patient, sugar. I'm almost done with your breakfast!"

"Forget the breakfast! I'm about to have a baby!"

"Wait, it's time?!"

"Well, don't just stand here cooking pancakes! Pack up the car, call a sitter for Daniela, and GET ME TO THE HOSPITAL!"

"...right! All you have to do is breathe."

On a sunny day on July 18, a couple of merfolks were driving at highspeed to get to the hospital, as they were about have a new baby. But on their way, their car broke down in the middle of road. It was fortunate that the nearest gas station was nearby, but the woman was in a whole lot of pain and the hospital was still miles away. With the car overheated, they had no choice but to have the baby in the car.

It was pretty hard, but both the mother and baby made it through okay, and by then, the car was fixed. They drove staight to the hospital to have their new baby checked up...

"Well, it looks like your daughter is nice a healthy," the doctor said with a smile.

The mother was relieved to hear that.

"Well, I called my mother and she should be here soon with Daniela," the father said as he entered the room. "How's our little angel?"

The newborn Guppy was resting peacefully in her mother's arms. She looked more like her father as she has his golden curls and bright blue eyes. She also inherited her mother's tail color - orange wirh yellow polka dots.

"Did you have any names for this little one?" the doctor asked.

"We decided to name our precious daughter 'Deama' after my dear mother," the woman told her, placing her hand over her

"'Deema Pearl Harper,'" the father told her their daughter's full name."Such a lovely name," the doctor said. She was filling out some paper work. "I'm going to leave you two alone with your baby for a bit. I'll be back in a bit."

As the doctor left, baby Deema started to get a little fussy.

"Oh, Deema, it's okay," Mrs. Harper said in a jazzy, yet soothing voice. "Your Mama and Daddy are here. Just go back to sleep, darling."

Deema seemed to enjoy her mother's funny way of talking. She stopped fussing pretty quickly and cooed at her parents before slowly drifting back to sleep.

"Welcome to the world, sweetums," the father whispered to his sleeping daughter.

A little while later, two merfolks came into the hospital to meet the new baby. One of mermaids was an old woman who looks a bit like the father and newly granddaughter. The other was a little girl, about 3 years old, with staight chestnut brown hair, emerald green eyes, and a dark red tail with magenta zig-zags. The child had just became a big sister.

The mother was resting in her room at the moment, so they followed a doctor to a special room. The little girl looked excitedly through a glass window to see a lot of babies there. Lobsters, snails, fish, and even several Guppies. But which one was her baby sister?

"Daniela, sweetie, don't forget to wash our hands," the grandmother called out to her.

"Okay, Nana," the little girl said.

After rubbing their hands with hand sanitizer, the doctor opened the door to the room and invited Daniela and her grandmother in.

Once inside, the doctor allowed them to take a seat. Nana placed Daniela on her lap

"I would like you to meet... Deema Pearl Harper."

The doctor was carrying that little bundle of joy in her arms. And boy, was that baby full of joy. She was pretty giggly and happy.

The doctor handed the baby to the Daniela, whose heart just melted at the first sight of her.

"Hi there, Deema," the old lady said gently. "I'm Nana, and this is your big sister, Dani."

Baby Deema cooed at her nana. Then, she reach out her little hand and held Daniela's.

"I'm a big sister," Daniela said proudly to her grandmother.

"You're going to make a great one, sweetie," Nana said with a smile.

Daniela looked back at her baby sister.

"I love you, Dee Dee," she whispered to baby Deema.
