A month had gone by since Mew got her job as a janitor at Toys R Us. Her initial resentment that she had towards Lucario for being put in this position had died down and she decided to channel her energy into being the best Janitor the store could ask for. Mew even petition to Lucario to give her some days where she could come in early so she could get more money for her toys, and soon enough, her paychecks were looking pretty nice. Not as nice compared to Victini who got her toys at half price, but Mew decided to be the better version of herself and not let envy overcome her.

Mew felt she was deserving of a better position and she wanted to get recognized for her work. There were other janitors, but Mew was the only one who actually put forth the decent amount of effort into her work instead of doing the bare minimum like a lot of the others were doing. In fact, Mew actually often had to be the one who picked up the slack for those who cut corners and it was getting on her nerves.

Lucario the manager recognized Mew was quite dedicated to her job and he figured he was quite wrong for putting Mew at such a beginning task. He wanted to talk to her and give her a promotion!

"Hey, Mew," he began as the day was coming to an end and Mew was about to head home and play with some of her old toys. She was wondering what her boss wanted and she said,

"Yes, sir?"

"I'd like for you to step into my office, please. It's time to evaluate your performance."

"Okay."

Her tiny but disproportionally large feet compared to her body pitter pattered as they entered his room and she sat on a chair as he instructed her.

"Mew, I apologize that I gave you a beginning task when it's quite clear that you can perform the job at a very professional level. I want to say that you are more deserving of a higher level, so. I made the decision you will become the head supervisor for the janitors!"

"Oh, really? Cool! Does this mean I get a raise?" asked Mew as she was so excited to hear this.

"Yes, it does; you get a 25% increase in pay, but your duties will increase, plus, you get a 45% discount off all in-store purchases!"

"Yay!" cheered Mew. "More toys! When do I start as the supervisor?"

Lucario chuckled. "You will get the information for your promotion tomorrow, so this is your last day as a mere janitor. I'm so proud for you, because you've really showed me that hard work pays off. It's a shame the other workers don't work as hard as you, but it is what it is. Maybe once you are the supervisor, you can show them how to really perform their job."

"Oh, I definitely plan to, especially now that I get a job that makes it easier to get better toys!" she squeaked with delight. "Ooh, I can't wait to tell my friends!"

"I'm sure that they will be proud for you and you'll have a lot more fun adventures. Now, if you will excuse me, I have to talk to someone else. You are free to go."

Once the day came to an end, Mew assembled her crew as she wanted to tell them her news.

"So...I just had a talk with our boss today," Mew began.

"Oh, and what happened? Surely you didn't get in trouble?" asked Victini.

"Nope! I got a promotion!" Mew started clapping her hands together as she said that.

"All right! I'm some glad for you!" Shaymin cheered, the floral hedgehog jumping up and down. Shaymin accidentally farted and turned red. Mew farted at 108 decibels, it was so loud and it caused the others to cover their ears as it came out.

"But the good news is, we will have more money to buy toys!" Mew cheered. "I think we should buy some stuff in the near future and have a slumber party." Her friends cheered at this idea and they soon all went their separate ways.
