Chapter 51: Rematch Pt. 3
I stumble back and Steve tries to hit me with a front kick. I push his leg down and deliver a roundhouse kick of my own. Steve ducks so I quickly sweep his legs. He falls over but rolls out of the way when I try to stomp on his chest. He gets up and gets back into a fighting stance. He delivers two front kicks, one to my chest and one to my face, in quick succession. I manage to block them both. I deliver a front kick of my own but Steve blocks. I try to elbow Steve in the face but he puts up both his arms and blocks. I use my free hand and punch Steve in the chest. He stumbles back a bit and I'm able to roundhouse kick him in the head. Steve charges at me and tries to punch me in the face. I grab his arm mid punch and throw him towards a bowling ball rack. He smacks straight into a bowling ball and collapses to the ground. He gets up, and there's blood coming out of his forehead. For a split second, I question if this fight was a good idea. Steve, filled with rage, charges at me and hits me in the face with a flying punch. I stumble back a bit and Steve punches me in the face again. He then delivers a spinning back kick into my chest. I fall to the ground but quickly get back up. However, Steve is prepared and roundhouse kicks me in the face. I fall to my knees and Steve takes the opportunity to knee me in the face. I fall over and Steve stomps on my face. He's prepared to do it a second time but I dodge. I manage to kick Steve in the crouch. He bends over in pain and I'm able to get up. Steve is covering his crouch so I take the chance to front kick him in the chest. He's on one knee and I'm prepared to initiate the pressure point technique. I grab his left arm and prepare to hit it. However, Steve blocks my arm right when I'm about to strike his pressure point. He then kicks me in the chest.
"I know all your moves. Good luck trying to surprise me." Steve says. I glare at him. I jump up and try to hit Steve in the face with the flying tornado kick. However, he backs up and I miss. "What? You realize you're nothing with all your fancy moves?" Steve asks. I scream and attempt to punch Steve in the face. He grabs my arm, turns me around, and kicks me into a table. This table had been set up for a birthday party. The table collapses under my wait and all the contents spill onto me. I'm reminded of what happened at the party yesterday and I'm filled with rage. Steve picks me up and punches me in the face. I block his next punch and elbow him in the face. He steps back and I deliver a barrage of punches and kicks. Steve manages to block them all. Steve tries to punch me in the face but I grab his arm. He tries to punch me with his free arm but I grab it as well. I pull both of his arms downward and cross them. I then headbutt him. I punch him in the face and kick his left leg out from under him. He falls and hits his head on a bowling ball dispenser. He wobbles as he stands back up and I take the opportunity to side kick him into someone else's seating area. The patrons have to dodge as Steve goes flying into them. He quickly gets back up and charges into me. We are both forced backwards towards the entrance. Eventually, we make it to the reception desk. Behind it, was the shelf that contained all the shoes. Steve kicks me into the reception desk and I fall over on the other side. The employee working there quickly gets out of the line of fire. Steve jumps over the desk, grabs my head, and bashes it into the desk. I quickly elbow him in the chest and get up. I block Steve's next punch and knee him in the chest. I block his following punch and grab his arm. I pull it downward, causing Steve to bend over. I elbow the back of his head and he's on the ground. I look at the shelf containing the shoes and smile before kicking it. I jump back over the reception desk and watch as the shelf and all the shoes collapse onto Steve. He doesn't get up. I walk back over to the desk and look over. That's when Steve springs up, grabs a stapler, and walks me across the face with it. I groan in pain while covering my face. Steve hops over the reception desk and punches me in the chest. He sweeps my legs but I roll out of the way when he tries to punch me while I'm down. Before I can get all the way up, Steve kicks me in the face. I'm filled with rage and attempt to punch Steve in the throat. However, he blocks and punches me in the throat instead. I gasp and collapse to the ground.
Third Person POV:
Aaron attempts to punch Chase in the face but he blocks. Aaron receives the punch to the face instead. Aaron blocks the two front kicks Chase delivers. Chase attempts a roundhouse but Aaron ducks. Aaron tackles into Chase, knocking him over. Aaron punches Chase in the face until Chase puts his arms up to shield it. Chase wraps his right leg around Aaron's left leg and rolls over. Now, Chase was on top of Aaron. Chase punches Aaron in the face and stands up to punch him in the chest. Aaron manages to kick Chase in the knee, giving himself enough time to stand up. Chase tries to kick Aaron in the face but he blocks. Aaron attempts several punches and kicks which are all blocked. Chase tries to punch Aaron in the face but he catches his arm and throws him to the ground. However, before Aaron can get on top of Chase, Chase puts up his leg. Aaron runs into it. Chase is able to stand up and continue fighting. Aaron attempts to kick Chase but he catches his leg. Chase pulls Aaron's leg up, causing him to hobble in order to stay standing. Chase headbutts him and turns him around. Chase pushes Aaron and then kicks him in the chest, sending him flying into a park bench. Chase attempts to punch Aaron in the face, but he dodges. Chase accidentally hits the bench itself and reels his hand back. Aaron stands up and grabs Chase. He throws him onto the bench, chest side down. Aaron then grabs Chase's right arm and pulls it behind his back. Chase yelps in pain as Aaron holds his arm in an awkward position.
"Do you yield?" Aaron asks. Chase can't escape. Meanwhile, Emma and Violet were in the middle of their own fight. Emma was a more cautious fighter while Violet was more aggressive. Violet attempts to kick Emma in the face, but Emma blocks. Emma manages to block Violet's attempted punch and knee. However, Emma is caught off guard when Violet sweeps her legs. Emma rolls out of the way to prevent being pinned down. Emma stands up and Violet elbows her in the face. Violet grabs Emma's right shoulder with both her hands and knees Emma in the chest. Violet then grabs her by the shirt. Emma brings down her arm and elbows Violet's left arm. Emma then grabs Violet's right arm, moves behind her, and pulls it behind her back. Violet yelps in pain but manages to escape by hitting Emma in the chest with a back kick. Violet turns around and backhands Emma in the face. Violet delivers a barrage of kicks and punches that Emma is able to block thanks to her Miyagi-Do training. Emma manages to deliver a roundhouse kick to Violet's face but Violet is able to front kick her in the chest as a result. It was no longer time to fight fair. Emma grabs Violet's hair and pulls on it. Violet yelps in pain and Emma punches her in the face. Emma then sweeps her legs.
"At least my Cobra Kai training wasn't a complete waste of time." Emma says. Violet gets up and kicks Emma in the chest. Violet grabs the back of her head and bashes it into her own knee. Violet then grabs Emma's right arm and elbows it before elbowing her face. She pushes Emma back and front kicks her in the face. Violet punches Emma in the face before knocking her down with a spinning back kick.
Later…
Brian punches the first basketball teammate in the chest but quickly gets kicked in the back by the second. The third teammate turns Brian to face him and punches him in the face. The first teammate then punches Brian in the side of the head.
"Heh, look how pathetic he is." The first teammate says. Brian kicks this teammate in the chest and then punches the third teammate in the face. The second teammate charges at Brian but he dodges. The second teammate hits a car and falls to the ground in pain. If Brian was going to win this fight, he had to fight smart. He notices that the first and third teammates were getting up. Brian makes sure to stand in front of the third teammate. The first teammate charges at Brian, attempting to punch him. The third teammate gets prepared to kick him in the back. Suddenly, Brian drops to the ground. The first teammate punches the third teammate in the face as the third teammate kicks the first teammate in the chest. Brian gets up and the third teammate punches him in the back as the first teammate kicks him in the face. The two laugh as Brian turns and punches the third teammate in the chest. He then elbows the first teammate in the face. However, the first teammate easily recovers and roundhouse kicks Brian in the face. The third teammate tackles Brian to the ground and punches him in the face. He then picks Brian up.
"Want another hit?" The third teammate asks. The first teammate smiles and kicks Brian in the chest. The third teammate is holding Brian's arms behind his back so he can't defend himself. The first teammate punches Brian in the face twice and the two teammates laugh. The second teammate finally recovers and gets up.
"Hey! Get a piece of Brian!" The first teammate shouts as the third teammate throws Brian to the second teammate. The second teammate catches Brian and punches him in the face. Brian falls to the ground and the third teammate picks him up. He kicks Brian in the chest and into the first teammate. He punches Brian in the face and into the second teammate. That teammate kicks Brian in the back and he falls to the ground. Brian gets to his knees as the three teammates surround him.
James's POV:
I'm on the ground and have to put my arms up in order not to get punched in the face by Steve. I'm panicking as I'm still struggling to breathe. Steve picks me up and kicks me into a hallway that has many rooms. One of the doors opens and an employee exits the room. It was the employee break room. Steve kicks me into that room and the employee moves out of the way to avoid being hit. This break room was rather big. I finally regain the ability to breathe properly and stand up. I block Steve's next punch and punch him in the face. I then turn him and kick him into a fridge. I charge at him and attempt to kick him in the face but he dodges at the last second. I end up kicking the fridge but quickly get back in a fighting stance. I notice a jar on the counter and pick it up. Steve tries to punch me in the face but I hold up the jar. Steve punches through it and his knuckles begin to bleed. Steve clutches his hand and glares at me. He jumps up and tries to front kick me in the face and then in the chest. I block both and then back up to avoid Steve's leg sweep. Steve pushes me and then notices a coffee mug filled with hot coffee. Steve picks it up and splashes the liquid onto my face. Some of it gets in my eyes and I scream in pain while covering my face. Steve knees me in the chest and throws me to the side. He notices a flower vase and picks it up. He smashes it over my head and I collapse to the ground. He picks me up and then kicks into the back of a sofa and I fall over it. I'm on the ground and Steve picks me up. Next to us is a huge TV. I grab Steve by the head and bash it into the TV. Steve collapses to the ground and I kick him while he's down. I pick him up and kick him into the sofa. The entire sofa falls over after Steve crashes into it. Steve gets up and attempts to kick me in the chest. I grab his leg and throw him to the ground. Steve gets up and attempts to punch me in the face. I dodge. I charge at Steve and push him into a wall. He elbows me in the face so I step back. He attempts to punch me but I block it with a high kick. I then push him back into the wall. His head hits a picture frame and the glass shatters. Steve hits the ground but refuses to stay down. Before he even gets up he raises his leg and side kicks me in the chest. He then gets up and punches me in the chest. He charges at me and pushes me out of the break room. We're back in the hallway and Steve kicks me into another room. We're now in the bathroom. A patron quickly leaves after realizing he's in the middle of a fight. Steve tries to front kick me but I block. He then tries to punch me but I block. Steve then jumps up, kicks himself off a sink, and tries to kick me in the face with that same leg. I barely dodge. I dodge Steve's next kick and then manage to kick him into a stall. I try to punch him but he gets up and I end up punching the toilet. Steve grabs me and throws me over to the sinks. He then grabs my head and bashes it into a sink. My head was now bleeding as Steve bashes my head a second time. I manage to elbow Steve in the throat and escape his grasp. I then grab his head and bash it into the sink. I pick him up, punch him in the face, and then bash his head into the towel dispenser. The force causes it to fall off the wall. I turn Steve and then kick him out of the bathroom. We exit the hallway and are now back in the main bowling area.
Third Person POV:
Aaron still had Chase pinned to the bench.
"So what are you gonna do, huh?" Aaron asks. Chase uses the back of his head to headbutt Aaron. Aaron's grip on Chase's arm loosens and Chase is able to pull his arm out. Chase elbows Aaron in the face and gets off the bench. The two get in a fighting stance. Aaron tries to kick Chase but he backs up and dodges. Chase is able to punch Aaron in the face and then knee him in the chest. Chase punches him in the face again and then roundhouse kicks him in the face. Chase pushes him to the ground and steps on his chest.
"You're finished." Chase says. That's when Aaron realizes that the leg Chase was using to step on him, was the leg that previously had a broken kneecap. Aaron elbows that knee with all his might and Chase screams in pain. He collapses to the ground while clutching his knee. Aaron gets up and stomps on Chase's face. He then kicks Chase a few times before delivering a few punches to his face. Eventually, Chase falls unconscious. Aaron had won. Emma backs up as Violet tries to hit her with several punches and kicks. Violet tries to knee Emma in the chest but she pushes her knee back down. Emma blocks an elbow to the face and then a punch to the chest. She ducks under Violet's round house kick and steps back to avoid getting a leg sweep. Emma then blocks Violet's front kick. Emma waits for the opportunity to strike and eventually sees an opening in Violet's chest. Emma kicks her there and she flies into a few Cobras. They help her get back up and she runs up to Emma. Violet jumps up and hits Emma with a flying elbow. Emma hits the ground hard. However, she wasn't going out without a fight. When Violet tries to get on top of her, Emma kicks her in the face. Violet moves her leg out of the way and punches her in the face several times. She then gets up and steps on Emma's throat. Emma has no choice but to elbow Violet's knee. Violet steps off of her and Emma gets up. Emma charges at Violet and tackles her to the ground. Emma punches Violet in the face but Violet knees Emma in the chest and is able to get up. However, before Emma can get up, Violet knees her in the face. Emma hits the ground and everything begins to spin.
"You should have never betrayed Cobra Kai." Violet says before stomping on Emma's face, knocking her out. Violet had won. The Cobras begin cheering as Aaron and Violet stand victorious over the unconscious couple.
Later…
Blood was coming out of Brian's nose and he was completely bruised and injured. The basketball teammates each take turns hitting him. The first teammate kicks Brian in the head and he flies into the second teammate. The second teammate delivers a spinning back kick into Brian's chest and he falls into the third teammate's hands. That teammate headbutts Brian and then knees him in the crouch before throwing him out the ground. The three teammates then begin kicking Brain while he's down.
"Look at this pathetic piece of shit." One teammate says. Brian uses the last of his effort to elbow this teammate in the crouch. He then turns to another teammate and tackles them to the ground. Brian begins punching this teammate in the face with all his might. That's when another kid appears. Tristan arrives at the convenience store only to see a Miyagi-Fang student on top of one of his Cobra Kai teammates, punching him in the face. Brain stands up and turns just in time to see Tristan. Tristan runs over and delivers a flying punch into Brian's face. Brian hits the ground hard and coughs out a little blood.
"He attacked us!" One of the teammates shouts. Tristan glares at Brian. Brian tries to stand up but Tristan delivers a roundhouse kick to his face, sending him down again. Tristan gets on top of Brian and repeatedly punches him in the face over and over again. Unlike the fight with Steve, there were no witnesses that could stop Tristan. The basketball teammates couldn't help but smile as Tristan punches Brian in the face. Eventually, Brian's face is completely busted up and tears fall out of his eyes. Tristan then picks up Brian's left hand and grabs his left pointer finger.
"This is what happens when you attack one of us." Tristan says. Tristan then breaks Brian's finger and he screams in pain. "Come on, let's go." Tristan says while walking away. The basketball teammates smirk as they join Tristan. Brian is left on the ground bloody, bruised, and screaming in pain.
James's POV:
Steve kicks me in the chest. He then tries to punch me. I grab him and throw him onto a bowling lane. We were now fighting on the lanes themselves. Everyone was watching the fight. I kick Steve's left knee, causing him to bend down slightly. I then roundhouse kick him in the face. Steve quickly recovers and uppercuts me in the jaw. He then knees me in the chest. I elbow him in the back and quickly throw him to the ground. He quickly gets up. I charge at him. However, Steve does a front flip over me. I turn around and Steve side kicks me in the chest. I hit the ground and Steve gets on top of me. I elbow the side of his head before he can even do anything and push him off of me. I get up and immediately block all of his punches using the 'wax on wax off' movements. I then use the drum technique. However, I wasn't using it defensively. I was using it to hit Steve. I swing my arms back and forth, constantly hitting Steve in the face over and over again. His chest is completely exposed so I quickly deliver a side kick there. Steve stumbles back and trips over some guard rails that someone had set up in their lane to prevent their bowling ball from going in the gutter. I jump over the guard rails and get on top of Steve. I manage to punch Steve in the face a few times before he pushes me off of him. I get up before Steve and spin while jumping in the air. As soon as Steve gets up, he's back on the ground after getting hit in the face with the flying tornado kick. I quickly pick him up and disable his left arm with the pressure point technique. I do the same to his right arm and left leg and he looks absolutely terrified. I grab Steve and drag him off the bowling lanes and back into the main area. I push him up against a support piller and begin punching him in the chest.
Third Person POV:
Miyagi-Fang arrives at the bowling alley only to find a giant crowd of people trying to get in.
"What's going on?" Eli asks.
"Excuse me, why's everyone trying to get in?" Sam asks a guy.
"There's a massive fight going on inside. We all want to see it." The man says. Sam's eyes widen as she turns to the rest of Miyagi-Fang.
"We gotta get inside, now!" Sam shouts.
James's POV:
I'm blinded by rage as I punch Steve in the chest over and over again. I remember everything he did to me.
The first day of school
The alleyway
The LaRusso house
I begin punching Steve in the face. He can't defend himself and blood begins to pour out of his nose.
The bathroom
The cafeteria
The drive in
Prom
The All Valley
The parking lot
I scream as I continue to punch Steve in the face. I knee him in the chest and punch him in the throat. That's when Miyagi-Fang makes it inside. I can barely make out their shouting.
"James, stop!" Miguel shouts.
"Don't do this!" Robby shouts.
"It's not worth it!" Demetri shouts. I begin to ignore their shouts and pleads. I throw Steve into my seating area.
The mall
The sidewalk
The party
I walk over to the bowling ball I dropped and pick it up. I swing it down and hit Steve in the chest with it. He screams in pain. Miyagi-Fang tries to stop me, but they can't get to me in time. I raise the bowling ball above my head and prepare to hit Steve in the head with it. I can see the fear in his eyes. This was the only way I could stop Steve. Tears were forming in my eyes. That's when I remember Sensei Toguchi's words.
"Sometimes, mercy isn't for your opponent, it's for you. It shows yourself that you're not a monster. It shows, unlike your opponent, you have honor. If you show mercy to even worst enemy, then you prove your true strength."
I realize what I'm about to do and drop the bowling ball. I collapse to my knees and feel the tears rub down my cheeks. Steve finally regains mobility in his limbs and sits up. He coughs up a little blood.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." He says. I wipe the tears from my eyes and walk past him to join my Miyagi-Fang teammates.
"I don't think we can stay." I say. We all leave the bowling alley, leaving a broken Steve behind.
Authors Note: I hope you all enjoyed those fight scenes. I've been wanting to write a James V.S Steve street fight since I first started writing the season 5 chapters. I hope it lived up to your expectations. I know many of you wanted Chase, Emma, and Brian to win their fights, but there are some more things I have planned for them. What will the fallout of these fights be? Will James and Steve ever end their rivalry? Will Chase and Emma ever get stronger? Will Brian recover quick enough? Sorry this chapter took a while to come out. Writing a fight scene that is both interesting and long takes a lot more time than you think.
