Orihara Twins Apartment
Mairu finally arrives in her apartment and opens the creaking door to let herself inside her in her small flat within downtown Ikebukuro.
"Home, sweet Home" Mairu sarcastically remarked, as she entered the flat where she and now formerly Kururi.
She's beginning to actually feel less depressed now. Due Mikado and Anri for their emotional support, Mairu then went and laid in the Seater Sofa in front of the kitchen to calm herself but Mairu thought Mikado was acting weird when visiting him and Anri again in Sonohara Hall.
The sun set down upon Ikebukuro finally with the building blocking the radiant bright sunlight but it was a beautiful sight to behold even from the apartment-complex that she was living in at the moment, beginning through the window of the Apartment. Mairu got up from the Sofa and stretched her arms up.
She went to the laptop then sat down, turned on the laptop to begin furiously typing on the keyboard to search for individuals or organization responsible for Kururi's attempted murder.
Time flies surprisingly quickly, beginning to search for people who did this Kururi, Mairu's flesh and blood. Mairu's innocent loving older sister, Kururi Orihara, one of the little Sisters to Izaya Orihara, the "Demon of Ikebukuro" as Mairu begins the search.
Few seconds pass.
Then minutes breeze by.
Lastly, an hour for skimming; digging for information online from less than legal means, morally at least, about potential instigators against Kururi and herself.
Mairu has stopped relatively around
Some combination of a little, survivor's guilt, pure unfiltered hatred for whoever did this to her family and, especially revenge, finally at long last overtook Mairu. To a point she had extremely tired bags under her brown eyes without Mairu's braids tying her now flowing brown hair together.
Mairu types on the laptop keys inhumanly fast and hard as the hatred and revenge is fueling this quest of the people who did this to their family especially her own older twin sister, her fingertips begin to literally bleed from how intense she's typing.
She slammed her fist on the desk over and over and over again, as her search is basically going nowhere at least at the moment. Then she stopped, calming down and began to think.
Mairu stood up from the office chair and standing in the middle of the apartment.
At the last second, Mairu stopped to theorized it's probably by someone or some powerful organization who are after the both of them likely because of Izaya past actions when he was alive and in Ikebukuro at some point but and also to consider why they would go after Kururi first specifically even if it was by coincidence while Mairu wasn't there to defend and comfort her older sister
"Ok, who would go after myself and Kururi?"
Something came to mind quickly and Mairu went with a gut feeling. She jumped up and stood from the chair and got the remote-control to turn on the flat-screen television directly in front of her face to the evening news.
"There have recent reports in Ikebukuro and eyewitnesses of in Shinjuku, Shibuya of what's to be a newly formed in the last 6 years a fourth green color gang on the rise, but there leader and what there name are of these new band of troublemakers is currently unknown at this time and now on to-" before the news reporter could finish some more, Mairu in a realization, immediately turned off the TV and throwing the remote onto the sofa.
Right when discovers this she hears Bang…bang….bang…bang, a furious banging coming from the front door and a bunch of steps outside, someone is trying to break into the apartment.
Mairu turns and looks back at the entrance that's literally a few feet away and hears the door banging increasing in severity; apparently it wasn't the cops. Fear and panic begins to take hold, she then runs to the kitchen grabbing a medium sized, butcher-knife attempting to defend herself from her Intruders.
Waiting for her assailants to break down the door.
BANG!
SlAM!
The door bursts completely open and as the door fell down on the wood floor as someone entered, what looks to be an abnormally tall woman, a person with a Red Oni Mask and metal gauntlets on there arms draped in a cloak covering, its eyes are red as the person? as the Oni being resembling an Oni at least in the Mask.
The cloaked person was completely silent, walking over and standing in front of the younger helpless Orihara Twin with butcher knife in hand as Mairu was trembling with indescribable fear towards this thing.
Mairu, still terrified, went in and slashed then stabbed the armored-attacker with the knife across the cloak draped chest.
She managed to go through the cloak but nothing happened to the thing that was after her, Mairu without a second thought dropped the knife and tried using her martial arts moves that she learned from both Mikage and Eijirou.
Mairu kicked and then punched as hard as she could in the face of her masked-assailant but yet again unphased by her attacks.
"What the hell?" Mairu surprised and also terrified beyond belief.
The 'Oni Attacker' that broke into the apartment then went in while Mairu's guard was down for a minute to grab Mairu by the neck. Picks her up, and punches her in the stomach to make her pass out completely from the shock.
"Horada…I mean Boss, I've captured the brat, now heading back to Shinjuku Safehouse" the Oni attacker said, through a communications ear-piece.
There is a very brief silence and until
"Alright Gull, I'll be there shortly to meet up with you and the rest," Horada said, from the other end of the ear-piece.
Gull puts Mairu on her back to carry her and walks out of the twins apartment as it's luckily already night when she broke in outside.
Horada's Safehouse
Two Hours Later
Both of Mairu's eyes slowly opened, as she fully regain consciousness, Mairu looks to be a warehouse and telling by the dilapidated walls and floors, she appears to be in Shinjuku by the people who captured her, now awake looks around her surroundings, she was in a wooden-chair with her arms and hands tied behind the chair slat.
"Hello, Is anyone here!"
"Are you the ones after me and my sister!"
Mairu shouted, as she attempts to escape her constraints.
"Answer, me damnit!" Mairu yelled
She realized that the wherehouse was completely dark and pitch black around Mairu, only a singular hanging-lamp shining above her as she was in the chair, it was pure silence until, someone familiar to Mairu the blond haired thug looking guy; wearing the same black suit and green tinted sunglasses, strolls out of the shadowy darkness of the building and comes in front of her in the light.
"Well…well, isn't this a fine coincidence, us meeting again in this unfortunate manner"
"Mairu Orihara, younger sister to one of the infamous information brokers, Izaya Orihara" Horada arrogantly clapping and sadistically smirks.
"Wait…"
"Not you again, I thought you were nobody on the street I ran into by accident" Mairu began to panicked and as she tried to wrangle out of her restraints.
"Orihara Brat, you're older brother was one of the individuals responsible for first downfall back in the day in Ikebukuro"
"So since, I heard through rumors 7 years ago after that little chaotic 'Battle of Ikebukuro' incident with some random Russian Mafia Assassin named Vorona,"
"That mindless bastard Heiwajima and her, managed to off, Orihara and not me"
"He was one of reasons behind the scenes, I lost power and influence in the Blue Squares and later the Yellow Scarves' all for his damn amusement and fun"
"But now he's dead and gone, supposedly to the locals by my limited knowledge, the next logical choice to go after and wreak my retribution on, is the two remnants of Orihara in Ikebukuro…you and you're older sister"
"You and your older sister, Kururi Orihara, was it?" Horada arrogantly stated.
When Mairu hears Horada coming out his mouth him mention Kururi, uncaring in what he did to Mairu's sister, Mairu's family, her own flesh and blood, triggered something inside of Mairu's mind mentally, her face and eyes contorts to pure hatred and unfiltered anger wanting to make Horada and his subordinates to suffer and feel true despair, as she tries to wrangle and escape from of out from the chair that she's tied to as fast as physically possible.
"Damn you, I'm going to make you suffer, bastard," Mairu yelled.
Three other people, Nile, Gull, and Aya, walked out together from the shadows; Horada's subordinates. One of them, Gull staring intently close up at Mairu with her light up red cybernetic eyes through the Oni Mask that she wears on her metal face.
"Long time, no see,"
"Remember me, Tsukiyama Akuno from Raira Academy?"
"I've changed a lot since we last saw each other, at least back in Raira, you whore, haha" Gull exclaimed.
Gull; Tsukiyama, watched behind her metal Oni Mask with pure happiness at Mairu being filled with hatred against Horada and herself as Mairu was still angrily trying furiously more and more tries but failing to release herself from captivity.
Mairu now wants payback towards Horada for what he did to Kururi without remorse.
Anri's Mindscape: Subconscious
Inside the innermost of Anri's mind as she was asleep on the front-counter within her store, as she was sleeping and Anri's subconscious brought her to a very specific place in her own mind, mindscape, deep in her own consciousness where in both her memories and thoughts were the voice of the demonic sword Saika resides in Anri's head.
The interior of her own mindscape, she imagines and was transporter to standing in the middle of a dark room with fused down with it having the appearance of recently rebought; Sonohara Hall and the completely empty classroom and class whiteboard with no chairs of Raira Academy with gigantic pictures of Masaomi and Mikado in their previous respective selves years ago on the opposite sides of the room are looming over Anri.
"Huh...Mikado, Masaomi and I really keeped dark secrets from each other for a very long time back in the day, I…."
"Even after we've all three should have moved on from keeping them by now"
"When Mikado and I began dating after he and Celty caused the Battle of Ikebukuro"
"He's been acting strange and sketchy again lately, right after us both graduated together." Anri begins to contemplate.
Anri starts to contemplate the Saika's female voice and begins to laugh maniacally in Anri's mental landscape as the room turns literally upside down.
Saika manifested as a black shadowy humanoid figure, a version of Anri with pure dark red eyes and a wide ear-to-ear sadistic cold smile glaring standing in front of uncorrupted self in Anri's mind, as the corrupted side deep in her subconscious created by Saika. Anri's Saika controlled-mindscape keeps on repeating the same phrases, without end Saika wanting her owner to give in to crave power.
"Embrace your hate!"
"Give into your spite, passion, wrath and malice!"
"Become the lustful 'parasite' within you, you're always meant to be, Anri!"
The subconscious manifestation Saika-like being, takes the form of Anri in her mindscape, the classroom-store in her head, completely all of a sudden, transforms into both dark shadowy void, as Anri now surrounded by literal darkness and endless expanse within innermost self, then as bright crimson red eyes started to watch Anri in her own mind, as they represent Anri's inner demons and Saika itself.
"NO!"
"Stop it Saika, I'm not like you or anyone!"
"I've changed and I never was a parasite!"
"I don't want to become like…." Anri yelled, denying it at all.
Anri can't exactly deny all of the 'human' representation of Saika's advances for power and to take back control within her mindscape, Anri is turning all around her with the crimson red eyes of Saika getting closer and closer; Anri is failing to fight it in a dangerous way, both Saika's and her innermost demons deep within her own psyche.
"Stoooop it!" Anri bags and pleads, Saika to cease from mentally torturing her.
Saika halts her mental torture of Anri's current self as ordered by Anri (for now) and form of shadowy Anri that represents the repressed evil parts of Anri's personality, teleported above of Anri in the now void of Anri's Mindscape and subconscious to say a final thing to her.
"Just one last warning before I let you go and wake up" Saika began circling above around Anri.
Anri sighed, now calm and looked up at Saika. "Yeah, what is it?"
Saika completely from nowhere, transformed into a human-sized demonic black serpent with dark red eyes, lunging at Anri and wrapping her whole body in a chokehold.
"Trust no one, even the ones you love" Saika ominously warned before letting Anri wake up.
Sonohara Hall
Anri jolted up, woke up in a panic from her sleep, making the chair she was seated on fall back, the hard floor of the store as she stood up, Anri turned around.
"Oh…thank god, nobody broken in" Anri relieved, nobody has barged in yet.
"Anyway, besides that I need to close up shop and go home for today"
Knock!
Loud, distinguished knocks at the front, catches Anri's attention while she is about to close up shop.
"Huh, people this late, here?" Anri wondered.
Anri went up and looked to the one-way tinted glass door to identify who it was visiting her this late in the afternoon. Anri seeing three familiar silhouettes of Akabayashi, Masaomi and Kasane through the window.
Anri asked through the door. "Who is it?"
Then another knock and another knock.
"It's Akabayashi and two other familiar faces, like Masaomi," Akabayashi yelled through the door.
Anri opens the door to let Masaomi, Akabayashi and Kasane into Sonohara Hall, as the three walk inside.
"Welcome, I guess" Anri remarks, closing the door behind them.
Akabayashi went up in front of her when walked into the store, he affectionately hugged and greeted his adopted-daughter afterwards in a lovely embrace.
"There's my little Anri-Chan, how have you'd been these past 6 years?"
Anri rolled her eyes with a joyous expression on her face and embraced Akabayashi in return.
"Great, father nothing really has happened over on my side of Ikebukuro lately" Anri reassured.
After Anri is finished greeting her adopted father, she just notices Masaomi and Kasane standing right next to each other awkwardly with Kasane's composed and emotionless look as always, while she's wearing fake cat ears on her head, Anri then greets Kasane.
"Welcome back, Mrs. Kujiragi" Anri formally bowed and greeted.
Kasane's emotionless lock turned into a little smile on her face.
Masaomi looked anxious and worried, but still content to see Anri again after years apart.
"No need for former introductions, were friends after, Anri"
Anri nodded in agreement.
"Ah...very well"
"Anyway, what are you three doing here…really?"
"Especially you two, Masaomi and Akabayashi," Anri replied.
Anri shared long enough at them to see that Akabayashi and Masaomi both had a look of extreme worry on both of their faces.
"We both heard what happened to Kururi and how Mairu…."
"Me and Mr. Akabayashi came to see if you were okay," Masaomi explained.
"Yeah actually, Mairu was just here matter of fact, a few hours ago" Anri glared at both of them.
Akabayashi briefly looks at her glaring, back at him and Masaomi, Anri appears to be concerned.
"What's wrong Anri?" Akabayashi began to worry. He could sense something wrong about her.
Anri sighed and in front of Akabayashi and Masaomi's faces, she was shaking in pure unfiltered fear.
"Something feels off about Mikado lately, as well," Anri admitted.
Akabayashi began clenching his fists. Out of anger and concern for his foster daughter Anri.
"I wouldn't worry about it, he's changed a lot since he graduated from Raira Academy" Masaomi reassured Anri and Akabayashi.
Anri starts to feel regret but she doesn't know what and keeps it to herself.
"Yeah, Masaomi that's right, but" Anri replied with a clear and reluctant grin on her face.
"It's been nice, catching up Akabayashi and Masaomi but Mrs. Kujiragi looks like she needs me urgent in private for something last minute"
"We will talk some other time, you two" Anri requests of Masaomi and Akabayashi.
Akabayashi understands and goes to the front door of Sonohara Hall.
"Fine but I don't see anywhere near that disgusting flea, Mikado" Akabayashi says to Anri like a strict father.
Akabayashi leaves, opening the door to Sonohara Hall, exiting the store, Anri with Masaomi and Kasane. Masaomi then went to the front himself.
"Listen Anri, just don't fall to the darkness, okay" Masaomi advises. He then leaves Sonohara Hall himself.
Anri smiled a little at Masaomi's caring advice. As she goes to see where Kasane is in Sonohara Hall.
Parking lot of Kaztano's House
Saburo's Van puts in and arrives in the Parking Section right in front of Kaztano's Run-Down House with Erika asleep on her side of the Van after her little temper tantrum at the store.
Kyouhei is growing really unhappy with Erika recently, same with Saburo and Walker but it's mostly Kyouhei for the part. Walker and Erika are sleeping in the back seats of Van.
"Finally, we got here"
"If Erika hadn't thrown her little tantrum at Toranoana, we all could have been here a lot sooner" Saburo complained to himself.
Kyouhei sighed. "True"
Saburo's Van parks outside and suddenly Erika springs up from her slumber, beginning to jump up in her seat like a hyperactive child.
"Where are we now, Dotachin!" Erika Yelled, right as they parked.
Kyouhei's left eye and eyebrow began to twitch in unadulterated anger, surprisingly managing to contain it for now at Erika calling him by that nickname: Dotachin he despises anyone saying, especially coming out of Erika's mouth.
All four of them exit, out of Saburo's Van.
"Walker…go on ahead to see if Kaztano's home and wants to talk right now" Kyouhei orders.
Walker comedically salutes, back at Kyouhei as Walker is walking backwards as he's saluting innocently like a well-meaning idiot.
"As you wish, Kyouhei, on it!" Walker jokingly stated.
Erika began to lean her back against her side-door of Saburo's Van and she started using her phone to attempt calling Anri.
Walker left along with Saburo tagging along, Erika and Kyouhei are completely alone together in the parking lot of their friends house.
Kyouhei watches on from a few feet away from Erika leaning, besides the Van and as he sees her keep on calling, Anri on constant repeat with Erika's phone but Erika's phone keeps going to Anri's voicemail as Erika thinks Anri is ignoring her. He started to walk towards her.
"Fuck….I need to talk to Anri now!" Erika grows extremely frustrated and angry with her phone.
Kyouhei is getting closer to Erika as she's right beside Saburo's Treasured Van. Kyouhei as he walked even closer, very close right in front of her, Kyouhei witnessing as Erika got more angry and rowdy about wanting to see Anri again.
"Ugh…what…the hell do you want….Dotachin?" Erika spotted Kyouhei before he started the conversation about her.
Kyouhei clenches both of his fists trying to contain anger against Erika.
"Non…no…thing…I just want to talk…" Kyouhei trying to hide his irritation from Erika.
Kyouhei calms himself down again in front of her.
"What's wrong, Erika?" Kyouhei reluctantly asked.
"Shut up Dotachin, I need to talk to Anri as soon as possible" Erika bluntly stated.
"Why do I even bother with you, Erika…" Kyouhei sighed. "Seriously, what's wrong?"
"None of your damn business, Dotachin!" Erika stated, staring back with a death glare at Kyouhei.
Kyouhei leans his back, against Saburo's Van as well, alongside next to Erika herself.
"Erika, you can always vent to-" Kyouhei said to Erika.
Erika is still growing frustrated with the phone and she keeps on ignoring Kyouhei.
Kyouhei seeing from a distance, both Saburo and Walker came out of Kaztano's House running and hurrying towards the Van; it looks like it was in a panic.
"GUYS, WE GOT TROUBLE!" Walker yelled, in a panic clearly about something important.
"Kyouhei…Erika, Kaztano's disappeared and it looks not on his own, '' Saburo said, catching his breath from all the running.
Kyouhei grabs Erika by one of her arms, dragging her inside her side of Saburo's Van. Putting her in and closing the door.
"Okay, another 'Kaztano incident' then, Erika you're coming along too" Kyouhei stated.
"All…come on, Dotachin, I want to call and talk to Anri, already!" Erika whined.
"No…you're coming along, regardless Erika…it's Kaztano after all" Kyouhei orders.
Horada's Safehouse
Mairu still tied up in the chair against her will with the people who supposedly hurt her sister, right in front of her. As she is trying to release herself from her constraints.
"What now, Horada?" Gull stated.
Horada cracked his knuckles together with a determined look on him.
"We got another hostage, one of my ex-gang members' old friends; Kaztano" Horada stated.
Aya and Nile walked and came inside of the wherehouse with Kaztano tied up as well. Pushing him on the floor right next to Mairu.
"You won't get away with this, you relic" Mairu beyond angry.
"Hahaha, oh really?"
"I have friends in high places now, so I'll be fine," Horada arrogantly stated.
"What?"
"What do you mean by that, you bastard!" Mairu shocked but still trying to free herself from the constraints.
"I have Ikebukuro, handed over to me with barely any fight involved in the equation by systematically destroying every obstacle in my way" Horada thinks to himself.
"I-"
"Who are you working for?" Mairu stopped trying to escape from her restraints and had a realization.
"In due time, Orihara Brat" Horada stated.
"I'm leaving to see Dotachin and his little gang"
"Then that, nuisance Masaomi"
"Keep a eye on these two…Gull and Aya"
"Me and Nile have old grudges to settle" Horada ordered Aya and Gull.
Horada and Nile walked out, leaving the Warehouse-Safehouse in Shinjuku to Ikebukuro.
Awakusu-Kai Headquarters: Aozaki's Office
Ran Izumii enters and opened the door to Aozaki's office, feeling a bit nervous about what Aozaki going to say with the plan they got going on.
"I'm back from my assignment, Mr. Aozaki" Izumii stands right beside Aozaki nervously.
Aozaki sitting with his legs crossed, having a little arrogant smile on him looking out upon Ikebukuro.
"Did he take the bait?" Aozaki asked.
"Yes, kinda," Izumii replied.
"Good, hope my plans go better than Horada's, at this point" Aozaki elaborated.
Knock
One of Aozaki's henchmen knocked furiously, looking like in a hurry.
"Come in, enter" Aozaki permits.
Aozaki henchman, slams open the door, terrified beyond belief.
"Sir, we got a report from our informants that Horada guy…is on the move" The henchman explained.
Aozaki's smile grows wider and happier. He gets up from his office chair.
"Good, leak this info to Akabayashi and Mikado," Aozaki orders the henchmen.
Izumii has recently grown terrified of Aozaki, due to him wanting to take over the Awakusu-Kai for himself but Izumii is trying to hide behind his typical bravado and arrogance.
"Izumii!" Aozaki shouted.
"Yes Sir," Izumii nervously replied.
"Considering that, Dougen Awakusu is bedridden and dying at the Moment"
"All of us need to pull our weight to keep the Awakusu Alive" Aozaki encouraged.
"Well, no matter." Aozaki says while looking out the window to his office
