Chapter 14
Elizabeth twisted herself free from the pirates that had been holding her in their dirty grasps. "Will!"
The wreckage fell into the sea below crashing below the waters to sink to Davy Jones' Locker.
Elizabeth tried to rush at Barbossa only to have him grab onto her thin delicate wrists.
"Welcome back, Miss. You took advantage of our hospitality last time. It holds fair now you return the favor." Barbossa said as he shoved the young woman to some pirates, who hooted and hollered their approval of what their boss was saying.
Rose struggled against some of the pirates' hold, her eyes growing in worry as she yelled for her sister. "Elizabeth!"
"Barbossa!" Will's voice rang out causing Elizabeth and Rose to look over seeing him soaking wet standing on the edge of the rail? He jumped down grabbing a pistol quickly from one of the unsuspecting pirates. "She goes free!"
Rose gasped out softly. She couldn't believe that Will was still even alive with what had happened.
"What's in your head, boy?" Barbossa snarled looking at the young man as if he had grown two heads.
"She. Goes. Free."
"You've only got one shot and we can't die."
"Don't do anything stupid," Jack said under his breath to Will hoping that he would heed his warning.
Will glanced at Jack. "You can't. I can." Will said as he suddenly put the muzzle of the gun under his chin.
Jack groaned softly. "Like that."
Barbossa and his crew looked at Will in confusion. "Who are you?"
"No one," Jack said, moving forward trying to keep the situation from getting too far out of hand. "He's no one. A distant cousin of my aunt's nephew was twice removed. Lovely singing voice, though. Eunuch."
Elizabeth glanced with narrowed eyes at Jack, realizing that Jack had something else planned and it wasn't good for anyone that was involved at that very moment.
"My name is Will Turner. My father was Bootstrap Bill Turner. His blood runs in my veins."
Barbossa looked over at Jack with narrowed eyes.
Jack shook his head lightly trying to make it seem like Will was lying.
"He's a splitting image of ol' Bootstrap Bill come back to haunt us," Ragetti said, his eye widening.
Will cocked the pistol. "On my word do as I say or I'll pull this trigger, and be lost to Davy Jones' Locker."
"Name your terms, Mr. Turner," Barbossa said, his lip curling up into a snarl as he looked at the young man.
"Elizabeth goes free!"
"Yes, we know that one. Anything else?"
Will swallowed the lump in his throat. He hadn't thought that far ahead in trying to save Elizabeth and Rose.
Jack tried to signal Will to tell him that he should be released as well.
"Her sister will go free, and the crew, the crew are not to be harmed."
Jack slumped in defeat knowing that this wasn't going to end well for the younger man. He had sealed his fate in more ways than one. And he even sealed his fate as well as Elizabeth's and Rose's knowing that there was no way that Barbossa would do it safely.
Barbossa smiled a crooked smile and stepped forward towards Will. "Agreed." He said clasping his hand on Will's before ripping the pistol from him to keep him from shooting himself.

The Black Pearl's anchor went into the water near a small island.
Elizabeth was poked and prodded to the edge of the plank by a group of pirates wielding swords.
Rose and Jack were behind her next in line.
Will jerked himself free from the pirates that held onto him, spitting out the rag that was in his mouth. "Barbossa, you lying bastard! You swore she'd go free!"
"Don't dare impugn me honor, boy! I agreed she'd go free, but it was you who failed to specify when nor where!"
One of the pirates put the gag back into Will's mouth, silencing him.
Barbossa turned his attention back to Elizabeth. "Though it does seem a shame to lose something so fine, don't it lads?"
Elizabeth felt her heart lift a little hoping that they wouldn't send them overboard.
"So I'll be having that dress back before you go."
Elizabeth hesitated for a moment before stripping it off of the body, leaving her only left in her slip. She threw at him rather forcefully. "It goes with your black heart."
Barbossa rubbed his cheek softly against it. "Oh, it's still warm." He tossed the dress to a crew member and then turned around.
Elizabeth moved stoically to the end of the plank. She paused for a moment, locking her eyes with Will's. She opened her mouth slowly to say something to him.
"Too long!" Bo'Sun shouted, slamming down on the end of the plank with his foot, causing Elizabeth to plunge off the other end of it into the blue water below.
The pirates laughed and Jack joined in hoping that he wouldn't be tossed over as well.
Rose got up onto the plank next and jumped into the sea with her sister, keeping herself bold and strong to show no fear to the pirates. She didn't want them to get any sort of satisfaction from what had happened.
Jack felt himself suddenly lifted up onto the plank. "I really rather hoped we were past all this."
Barbossa stepped up onto the plank beside Jack, throwing an arm around his shoulder in a not-so-comforting way. "Jack, Jack… Did ya not notice? That be the same little island that we made you Governor of on our last little trip."
"I did notice," Jack said feebly.
"Perhaps you'll be able to conjure up another miraculous escape. But I doubt it." Barbossa drew his sword and pointed it at Jack. "Off you go."
Jack hesitated for a moment, not wanting to jump and lose his ship again. "Last time you left me a pistol with one shot."
"By the powers, you're right. Where is Jack's pistol? Bring it forward."
A pirate brought it forward to Barbossa, handing it over to him easily.
"Seeing there is three of us, a gentleman would give us three pistols."
"It'll be one pistol as before, and you can be the gentleman and shoot the ladies, and starve to death yourself," Barbossa said, easily tossing the pistol overboard.
Jack's eyes widened and went after it diving into the blue crisp water. He grabbed his pistol before swimming up to the surface.
The three of them made it to the beach standing on the sand watching the black sail ship getting further and further away from them.
"That's the second time I've had to watch that man sail away with my ship," Jack said, letting out a huff in irritation.
Rose rolled her eyes letting out a soft scoff and shaking her head. Her hands went to her hair to wring out the water that was soaking it to the bone.
Elizabeth walked over to her sister away from Jack.
Rose let out a breath as she pushed her hair back from her face. "What do we do now?" She asked softly to her sister as they walked away from Jack. She shuddered a little due to her wet clothing. She wiped her face with her hand to catch the water from going into her eyes.
Elizabeth let out a soft breath. She shook her head lightly, not being able to come up with an idea of what to do. "Father and Commodore Norrington are looking for us."
Rose let out a soft breath and nodded her head. "Yes, they are. But I'm sure that they are more worried about your safety."
"Rose I am sure that Father is also worried about your safety as well as Commodore Norrington," Elizabeth said softly.
"James… I am pretty sure that he cares for you Elizabeth. He proposed to you after all…"
Elizabeth looked over at her sister seeing the sour look upon her face. "You care for him."
"It doesn't matter." She said as she shook her head lightly, her hands falling at her sides."
Elizabeth groaned as the two of them came to a stop seeing their footprints in the sand.
"It's not all that big, is it?" Jack questioned looking up at them reclining on the beach, his pistol in pieces, drying on the scarf he had put down. He sat up some and began to put his pistol back together.
"If you're going to shoot me, please do so without delay," Elizabeth said, crossing her arms and looking at Jack.
"Is there a problem between us, Miss Swann?"
"You were going to tell Barbossa about Will in exchange for a ship!"
"We could use a ship. The fact is, I was going to NOT tell Barbossa about blood, Will in exchange for a ship, because as long as he didn't know about bloody Will, I had something to bargain with. Which now no one has, thanks to bloody stupid Will."
Elizabeth blinked a few times in shock. "Oh…"
"Oh," Jack said, rolling his eyes as he put his pistol together and began to head away from the ocean.
Rose and Elizabeth followed Jack through the sand kicking it up as they kept up with him.
"He still risked his life to save ours…" Elizabeth said only to be cut off by Jack saying Ha. "So we have to do something to rescue him!"
"I agree," Rose said, speaking up knowing that she needed to speak up or Will would be a goner.
"Off you go then. Let me know how that turns out." Jack said, waving his hands as he moved towards a group of palm trees.
The two Swann sisters followed Jack keeping themselves in pace with the angry pirate.
"But you were marooned on this island before… weren't you? So we can escape in the same way you did then!" Elizabeth snapped looking at him.
Jack turned sharply to face the two of them. "To what point and purpose, young missy? The Black Pearl is gone. And unless you have a rudder and a lot of sails hidden under that bodice…" He said, glancing Elizabeth over.
Rose cleared her throat in irritation as she crossed her arms looking at him.
"Unlikely… young Mr. Turner will be dead long before you can reach him." He said turning away, and spotting a tree before walking up next to it. He used the tree as a starting point and began to pace out the ground.
"But you're Captain Jack Sparrow! You vanished from under the eyes of seven agents of the East India Company! You sacked Nassau port without even firing a shot! Are you the pirate I've read about with my sister or not?"
Jack stopped at a sandy spot on the ground jumping a few times.
Rose's hands clenched at her sides in irritation. "How did you escape last time?"
"Last time, I was here for a grand total of three days. Alright? Last time…" Jack heaved up the trap door to reveal a hole in the ground. Inside there were barrels and many bottles of rum covered in dust and cobwebs. "The rum runners who used this island as a cache came by, and I was able to barter passage off." He jumped into the pit. "From the looks of things, they've long been out of business." He grabbed some bottles and made his way out of the pit that he had gone down. "Probably have your bloody friend Norrington to thank for that." He walked past Elizabeth and Rose back towards the beach.
Rose scoffed, shaking her head lightly. "So much for the notorious pirate."
"So that's it then? That's the secret grand adventure of the infamous Jack Sparrow? You spent three days lying on the beach drinking rum?" Elizabeth said following him, her blood boiling.
Jack turned to the two of them with his arms open. "Welcome to the Caribbean, Love."
Elizabeth moved quickly trying to block his path only to walk backward herself.
Rose shook her head as she followed.
"So! Is there any truth to the other stories?"
"Truth?" Jack pulled his sleeves up to show both women his scars. "No truth at all! We'll stay alive a month, maybe more. Keep a weather eye open for passing ships, and our chances are fair."
"And what about Will!? We have to do something!"
"You're right." Jack tossed Elizabeth a bottle and toasted to her. "Here's luck to you, Will Turner!" He said before taking a large drink of his rum.
Elizabeth frowned at the bottle she held in her hands.
Rose looked at her sister with her brows pinched together having a feeling that her sister was onto something that would hopefully help them out. She looked at her bottle in her hands and knew what Elizabeth was thinking. A fire.
Elizabeth sat down and glanced over. "Drink up me hearties, yo ho…"
Rose sat down next to her sister bringing her knees up to her chest.
"What was that, Elizabeth?" Jack questioned looking at the brown haired sister.
"It's Miss Swann. Nothing. Just a song I learned as a child when I actually thought it would be exciting to meet a pirate."
"Let's hear it."
"No." Elizabeth said, shaking her head.
"Come on. We've got the time. Let's have it!"
"No, I'd rather have a lot more to drink."
Rose let out a soft chuckle shifting some in her spot.
"How much more?"
"Oh much more than you think Sparrow." Rose said, looking over at Jack.

This is the end of Chapter 14. I hope that you guys enjoyed this chapter. I tried my best with rewriting this chapter to try and make it better. There isn't much of an interaction between Rose and Jack due to her still being very angry with him. I don't blame her honestly. Please leave a review and let me know what you think of this chapter. Reviews help me keep going when it comes to posting. Until next time.
