I remember this, he said, watching the dream play out before him. It was the day Bosacius decided to have a little fun by pranking the youngest yaksha, Alatus, while he and the others watched on. It was moments like these that made him feel nostalgic, to the point where he wished these moments could last forever. But time and fate didn't work like that, otherwise, there would be no need for senseless wars and even in-fighting. At that moment, his thoughts shifted to the monsters, evil spirits, and the like running amok in Liyue. The fear they instilled in, the destruction they caused, and the sheer terror of it all before he was sworn in to protect the city.

Then he felt it. The ground shook and the once peaceful memory around him shattered. What is happening? Jidihu thought to himself, leaning up from his perch. Cracks quickly began to form, and voices from an unknown source began to fill the dreamscape. Who are you, people? Where are your voices coming from? The longer this went on, the more this feeling of uneasiness began to sink in. Soon enough the cracks began to fill up with water, submerging the space within an instance. Jidihu desperately tried to swim to what seemed to be the top, the voices from earlier getting louder and the shaking growing in intensity. I must…I must get out! I'll drown at this rate! His inner voice shouted, still pushing himself to swim in the endless pit of water.

Ji…u…

Something in him snapped at hearing what he thought was his name, causing the cryo yaksha to look around desperately for the source.

J…di…

No matter where he turned, he couldn't see the person but their voice…it seemed so familiar.

Jidihu!

He opened his eyes, only to be greeted by a cocoon of pale blue ice, shaking violently in what he originally thought to be a body of water. However, a loud roar further shook the cocoon. …! Jidihu reached out and began hitting the ice in front of him, doing whatever it takes to get out. If this is what I think it is, I have to get out before it's too late.

Then he heard it again. Someone all too familiar saying his name, giving him the strength to summon one powerful blow that shatters the walls around him, freeing him from his icy prison. In an instance he shot up and out of the ocean, turning to see an unfamiliar city behind him but an all too familiar foe in front of him: Osial.

Feeling his powers surging through him as they once did 2,000 years ago, he held out one of his hands to summon his catalyst, the pages fluttering about viciously. "Restore order through slaughter. Purge evil through battle, to this we dedicate our lives!"

Osial roared one final time before his body froze, from the ground up. Jidihu, slightly worn from using so much of his powers after only just waking up from his slumber, had barely managed to dodge what he thought was - and confirmed wasn't - a boulder heading his way. Oh great Celestia, Jidihu exclaimed as he headed in the opposite direction, away from the collision. Looking down he saw people who he assumed were on the large building landing safely on the harbor. It's good that they're safe, else that would be an even bigger problem should they have gone down with that palace.

Feeling as if his work was done, Jidihu teleported away, his re and disappearance noted by a certain Vigilant Yaksha.
