Hey, this is will be my first fanfic. I may get things wrong as I continue to write, it's been a long time since I read bleach or watched fairy tail but I do remember most things. I'm not good at writing so I don't expect much but hopefully, you guys will enjoy this fanfic. There might be some spoilers for those who have not read Bleach. Just a heads up, Ichigo in this story is going to be a bit quieter.

I do not own Bleach or Fairy Tail, or any of the characters that are in both of the shows, and I make no money off of this. I am only here to write a story.

Chapter 1: A girl named Wendy Marvell

It was a losing battle. Loud cries and sword clashes echo through the air. Buildings were in ruin, and corpses spread across the ground. Many fought diligently in hopes of ending this nightmare. That hope, however, seems slimmer and much further. As it continued, many lost their lives, some were unable to fight, and others were too scared to step into the battlefield. It all changed when an individual came to help. A young substitute Shinigami named Kurosaki Ichigo. With his help, there was hope. As time went on, many loved ones passed, and many suffered through many hardships. But in the end, they were victorious.

Numerous were overjoyed with tears, happy that the war finally concluded. Ichigo, however, did not share the same sentiment as everyone else. He looked around with tired eyes. Pools of red were everywhere with smears and stains on the walls. He witnessed many lives diminished and those he was unable to save. He was heavily wounded and his consciousness dwindled rapidly. His body was numb and his vision slowly faded away. His breath became slower. "… I'm… sorry… everyone" Those words echo inside the teenager's head. As he falls onto the ground.

The next thing, Ichigo was now subconsciously sinking into an unfamiliar space. It was dark and lifeless. The temperature drastically changes as the body continues to sink. Resembling a bottomless void. It felt like he was in a large mass of water, being sucked in and never capable of returning to the surface. There was no sense of emotion or assurance. Just a body sinking in the cold and plunging abyss. It was hard to tell how long he had been sinking. After what felt like an eternity, a speck of light appeared in front of him. It came out of nowhere. The light didn't do much. It didn't move nor communicate in any way.

Unexpectedly, the body was slowly pulled upwards by an unknown force. As the body was being dragged, the speck of light became more visible. The progress quickened and the force of the water weighed the body down as he was being pulled up. He was getting closer to the light. Slowly his body was engulfed by the gleaming light surrounding him. Unlike the abyss, the light was warm, comforting, and lastly…content.

Before long, he appeared in an unfamiliar environment. The sun was shining, the clouds slowly glided across the beautiful blue sky, and the warm rays of the sun shone brightly through the tops of the trees. Many sounds could be heard. With the leaves rustling, wind whistling around trunks, and the peaceful chirping noise coming from birds.

The orange-haired teen lay on the ground, with trees covering the majority of the sunlight. Minutes passed before his consciousness finally returned to him. He grumbled a bit more before his eyes flickered open. It had felt so long since the last time he was awake, his body felt heavy. The cool breeze and the warm light were all that he had felt. His eyes squinted due to the bright atmosphere around him. It took some time to adjust to the brightness.

"Where… am I?" he asked slowly

Ichigo started looking at the environment around him while trying to piece together what was presented in front of him. It didn't fit right, the trees looked too big, colorful mushrooms coming out of the ground, and different animals wandering around. A few birds above him flew across the air. He took notice of the birds' presence and realized that the shape and color of the birds were vastly different from what he could remember. Longer beck, different colors, bigger eyes, and much more. He was speechless.

He tried to remember anything that can help explain why he was here. He still had his memories intact. He recalls the events with the Fullbringers, a period where he regained his lost powers. And soon after, he was involved in the Quincy war. He recalled majorities of the Soul Society's destruction. His friends and many innocent lives fade away from him, even his own life. Killing Yhwach before falling unconscious. He remembered Yhwach's final words as he passed away. "I Will Return" Those words rang in his head.

That was all he could remember. That action led him to a depressing mood, he lost so many people during that war. It hurts to remember. He was sitting there, saddened at what he had remembered. The boy tried his best to shrug off the depressing topic, but the mood was unchanged. Despite his confusion and unhappy state, he tried to stay collective and calm. Not wanting to waste any time trying to come up with a response to his question. The boy got up from his spot and walked straight ahead, hoping to come across a city.

As time moved forward and the more he walked, the more confused he became. Everything that the forest presented was different from the learning he had acquired back at school. The plants were bigger, specifically the leaves and mushrooms. And the animals are more diverse in species, size, and behavior. He was able to spot many creatures, including a pink gorilla, green birds, and much more. Luckily the animals he saw were not hostile. As his walk carried on, he came across a river.

Realizing that he was a bit thirsty, he quickly approached the river and grabbed a quick drink. While finishing his drink, he slowly looked at the blissful water and noticed his reflection. The boy immediately saw something different.

"Why do I look so young?" He was flabbergasted.

He looked to be 8-9 years old, based on the observation of his appearance and height. He also noticed that he was wearing his Shihakusho, not his regular clothing. This didn't come up because of all of the other things occupying his mind. He hasn't had the chance to look at himself and take notice.

"I'm not in my physical body?" He asked once again

He didn't know why he was in his Shihakusho. Where was he, why does everything look so different, and why is he not in his physical body. All of these questions caused the boys confusion. Not only is he probably in a different world at this point, but he also did not consider his power to be active. As he continued looking at himself, he was able to recognize everything on his body and confirmed everything was the same. From the black markings that formed a cross on his chest and arms, and the fabric that forms his Shihakusho. He further searched for any items that he had on him. He couldn't find anything.

The fact that he has his powers means that he can protect himself. And without the combat pass, his powers aren't limited. However, he didn't know if he could do anything with his powers. He is unsure because there might be rules that limit his abilities in this world. This world might not use the same properties or rules.

"Can I use my powers?" He questioned himself.

Closing his eyes, he tried to concentrate on releasing his powers. It felt like ages since the last time he used his powers. To his surprise, he was able to release some of it. Blue particles and wavy energy form around him.

As he continued to release more, he was suddenly stopped by a burst of pain that ran through his body. He let out a cry of pain in response to what was happening. Multiple purple markings appeared on the boy's back before slowly spreading across his body. All he had felt was the pain that surged through his body. He was in so much pain that he was unable to focus on controlling his powers and dropped to the floor. As the pain slowly subsided, he tried to catch his breath.

"What…the hell…was that!?" he questioned, panting.

Once he was breathing steadily again. He was thinking over what had just happened. Nothing makes sense. At first, he thought it was coincident that the pain subsided. However, the boy didn't think that would be true. Despite the painful event, he realized that the purple markings only appeared when he was reaching a certain amount of power. Based on how it didn't appear when he started.

Unlike the combat pass, where his spiritual pressure is limited. Whatever that pain was, it did not follow the same principle. It instead inflicts pain depending on how much power is being used. This means that there must be an amount of strength he can use without any pain inflicted on him.

Ready this time, he slowly unleashed his spiritual pressure, this time the wave of blue energy was calm and silent. As he continued and waited patiently, the dark purple strains finally reappeared on his back once more. He felt a tinge of pain on his back and immediately stopped what he was doing. As he did that, the small pain quickly disappeared. This continued for around 5 minutes. Seeing where it would appear and not appear. He estimated that he was only able to use 10% of his powers without any consequences. It didn't fit right with him, but he had to accept it.

"What about Zangetsu?"

As that question played in his head, he panicked a bit, he didn't want to admit it, but he had forgotten about his Zanpakuto. he quickly called it out. Hoping that it wasn't gone somehow. The possibility of that seemed low, but he had to make sure. He called out Zanpakuto's name and blue light shined out in his hand as he grabbed the hilt of his sword. Pulling the hilt, the rest of the sword appeared. Looking at the sword, the shape of the sword was the same, resembling a cleaver knife-like shape with sharp edges on the back of the sword (The Fullbring Shikai version of Zangetsu). Thankfully, the dark purple markings did not appear. Still looking at his sword, he tried communicating with Zangetsu.

"Are you there Old Man Zangetsu?" he asked in his head, but there was no response.

Letting out a sign, he put his Zanpakuto on his back. As he did that he realized the time, it was slowly getting to noon. Based on the position of the sun. Not wanting to waste any more time, he slowly quickens his pacing.

2 hours have passed, and aimlessly wandering around, he found himself more lost than before. He was slowly getting tired. Just before long, he heard crying. At first, he tried to ignore it, he didn't know if he was just imagining it or if something was trying to lure him in. Another 5 seconds of crying was heard. He was unable to resist the cry for help. He immediately readied his Zanpakuto and ran towards the sound. He quickly flashed stepped, though it took longer than he had wanted. He ran into some bushes and saw a little figure ahead.

"A little girl?" he said quietly in disbelief.

The girl heard Ichigo's voice and looked back. They both made eye contact with one another. From Ichigo's perspective, he sees a girl with short blue hair. Wearing a white button-up shirt with a red collar and blue shorts. She seemed to be the age of 4-5 years old. But the most surprising thing that Ichigo became aware of. Was the strange energy that the girl was emitting out of her body. It felt different, he's able to sense it but unable to recognize it.

"You ok?" he asked in concern

From the girl's perspective, the boy had orange spikey hair, and black clothing of some kind, with 2 black lines forming an x sign on his chest and arm.

"U-um I-I'm oka-"

She later laid her eyes on the large sword. She stopped for a second. She panicked.

"A-are you here to eat me?" she asked right after. She had never come across another human, she didn't know what he would do with that sword.

"Huh?" he expressed dumbfounded, the girl was able to hear his confusion.

"Y-you're not here to eat me?" she asked, getting more and more confused. The sword did not have a hilt, it was unique to the point that she thought the sword had a different purpose.

"No" he didn't know why she would assume such things

"I-if you're not here to eat me, why do you have a sword out?" she asked, getting more and more confused.

"I thought you were in danger… sorry for scaring you" he calmly explained while putting the sword on his back. "What about you? Why are you out here?"

"I…I was with my mom last night, but when I woke up…. S-she disappeared" she replied while slowly weeping.

The boy absorbed the information that was told to him. He didn't show it, but he was shocked. He didn't want to think about the possibility that a mother would abandon her child. Maybe there was another explanation. The mom may have thought she was with her but didn't realize she had gotten herself lost. It wouldn't have made sense, but maybe. Or that the mother was getting pursued and had to leave her. He felt bad that the girl had to face this problem.

"I can help you find your mom" he offered while expressing a little smile. Trying to assure her that there was no harm.

As he said that, the girl in front of her stopped and looked at the boy, not believing his words.

"You will?" she asked for confirmation.

"Yeah"

After confirming what he said, she didn't get the feeling that he was lying. She immediately got up from the grass and slightly bowed nervously "T-thank you so much".

"Don't worry about it… what's your name?" The boy offering her help asked.

"M-my name is Wendy, Wendy Marvell" she responded to him shyly

"Kurosaki Ichigo," he introduced himself. Before continuing. "What does your mom look like?"

"Um, H-her name is Grandeeney, and she's a big white dragon" she responded

"…..huh"
