Hi, everyone! Bless you for actually reading this! I decided to post this short snippet of a completely AU Inuyasha fanfic I am "currently" writing. Note the currently in quotes; it means that I may never even finish it; so don't exactly get your hopes up.
Anyways, I wrote this at about one a.m. one night on a whim. Here it is completely un-revised, so you can blame me for all the mistakes. Enjoy!
Oh, by the way, I might post other Inuyasha snippets here when they come to me. Okay I think that is it now…oh, wait the disclaimer.
Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha or any of its characters nor am I making a profit off this what so ever.
Now, you can finally read!

Cue the annoying cell phone ring
Kagome rolled over and looked at the glowing digital…and rolled back over. Whoever it was could wait until morning. She had only gotten home at one. She had just about made it back to sleep when…yes…yes; the stupid piece of crap rang again.
She grabbed the phone off the nightstand and frowned at the screen; it was an international number. She flipped it open and asked in a semi-irritated voice. "Yes? This is Kagome Higurashi. Do you realize what time it is?"
"I apologize Miss Higurashi, but you are needed at the station. Boss's orders." It was Greg, just a tech from the office in Madrid.
"This had better be important," she said, already rolling out of bed and flipping the switch.
"Oh it is. You have fifteen minutes and a word to the wise: this one could take a while. I'd leave Riley with Michelle."
As if knowing he was being spoken about, Riley came trotting into the room to sit by the door. The German Shepard was her only companion and self-proclaimed guardian. "Can't bring him?" She asked as she managed to pull on a pair of jeans and sweater.
"Uh…sure. I don't see why not. He is as good as any agent. See you in ten." And the line went dead.
Kagome sighed and scratched Riley's ears. Slipping on her tennis shoes, she stood and scratched the dog's head. "We need to work on his people skills."

"Good morning, Miss Kagome." The man that rose to meet Kagome was breathtaking. He was dressed in a crisp business suit and his silver blonde hair was tied in a tail at his neck. Kagome shook off her momentary shock and turned her thoughts back toward the situation at hand.
She nodded slightly to the man and sat across from him and her boss, Miroku. She didn't know his last name, but that was common in their work.
Miroku grinned at her and immediately jumped into the problem. "Kagome, this is Sesshoumaru Hines. Mr. Hines is a well-respected businessman in both here and New York. He has employed our 'retrieval services' before, but this case is slightly different. He has come to us in search of someone."
"And who exactly is this someone, Mr. Hines?" She asked the suavely dressed man directly.
To her surprise, the man's face remained distinctly indifferent and he answered in an almost equally unconcerned voice, "My brother, Inuyasha Hines."
Yes, I know it is short, but reviews are deeply appreciated!
