Summary: Song fic about Sesshomaru breaking up with Rin. Very sad yet sweet, if you don't like it, flames will be used to roast marshmallows.

"I'm sorry Rin. I…just don't think it's working out.", he said on that snowy February night on the sidewalk.
Tears formed in her eyes, "Why? I don't understand, what's wrong?"
He sighed, thinking how he could explain. "It's not that it's not working out, it's more age. With me already being in college, I'm afraid that I'm not going to have time for you….that we'll slip away."
"Age! We're only four years-"
"Rin…..I'm sorry" were his final words as he turned away, leaving her to stare after him.

She sat there in the dark scared, lonely, and crying. He was gone. He just got up and left, and he was gone.

She picked up a picture of them together. She stared into his beautiful, deep, shining golden eyes. Teardrop after teardrop fell down her face.

She lay awake at night, wishing for his strong arms around her, wishing to hear his calm, gentle voice. Wishing just to not be alone.

He sat in a dim litted room, thinking how stupid he was to leave her like that. She made him smile, be happy, feel loved. And he had been stupid enough to dump the love of his life.

Why don't you come home to me
She sat there, watching the snow gently fall on Valentines Day night.
"why can't you just come back Sesshomaru? Why?" she whispered to herself as silent tears of heartbreak rolled down her cheeks.
I am, I am cold
Even though she had a warm fire blazing beside her, she still trembled from the cold outside. Through the soft crackling of the fire and her own thoughts, she didn't hear the door open and close gently.
Hold me
She gasped as she felt warm arms around her. A voice whispered in her ear, "I'm so, so sorry."
Her deep chocolate eyes look up to see a warm smile and soft golden eyes staring right back.
'I…I…" she just sobbed into his chest at a loss for words. He tightened his embrace and whispered comforting words in her ear. He then tilted her chin up and swiftly captured her lips in a tender yet dominating kiss of love and apology.
Pulling away ever so slightly, he smile and said "Happy Valentines day!"
